Shady practice . No customer service

Since February all we've gotten are Auto generated emails , still no unlock and no refund for the crap jailbreak stuff they sold us prior to this which they say they don't sell ,yet I have the email for the purchase made prior to the unlock request , it was some manual requiring iTunes etc .
This is a joke and truly think all these glowing reviews are being submitted by this company which monitors these reviews while NOT responding to customer contact forms .
I was ordered to remove derogatory wording in my review here as they reported my review !

A Brilliant Service

I have used this company a few times. Unfortunately some network locks are expensive so worth checking before purchasing a locked network phone as prices are set by the carriers.

As a service it's fast and easy. Enter your IMEI & leave them to it. Email gets sent when unlock done, change your sim & away you go.

When AT&T wouldn't help, iUnlox did!

Really good service from this company - my one issue was the carrier, AT&T. They were extremely unhelpful when I did not want to renew my contract and refused to unlock my phone, and I turned to iUnlox for help in unlocking my iphone. I cant thank them enough as I was paying an AT&T contract AND T-Mobile without even being able to use an T-Mobile sim card. I think that the cost of $30 was reasonable for their professional service.

From US client - Got service I paid for finally

I paid to unlock my AT&T IPhone4 with iUnlox after watching their video on YouTube.
The experience was not as smooth as I expected because I did not get an email confirming the unlock service was complete for over 2 months after paying for service.
I reached out to the company and they explained that they had problems with their system. They reached out to their suppliers and confirmed the phone was unlocked and I could use iTunes to complete the process.
I am happy that this got resolved and they worked with me to make it so.
I will say however that this company most certainly cares about their reputation and will reach out quickly to resolve issues with unhappy customers. I will recommend that they make it easier for clients (especially those oversees) to contact them.
Thank you for providing the service.

Very prompt delivery.

I'm on a years sabbatical in the UK from Australia, and having brought my iPhone 5 with me, found I was unable to use it once I arrived.

Having called back home, my carrier, Telstra, wouldn't unlock my phone as it was no longer located in Australia. They advised me to find a 3rd party unlocker, and suggested I tried the internet.

I found a couple of UK websites that said they could unlock my phone, and decided to go with iunlox as the other site seemed to have thousands of, what were very obviously, fake reviews written about it!

The reason I am unusually writing a review is that iunlox were not only able to unlock my iPhone 5, but that they did so in 3 hours flat!

Unbelievable speed of delivery, I am a very happy customer and my phone is now working fine on O2. 5 stars from me.

Be warey of cost, Ts & Cs and obstinate customer support

Firstly, I want to say that the service provided worked and with that I have no problem.

My issue comes with the manner in which they sell the unlock service, as I feel the website has been set up in quite a sneaky way and I want to warn people of the financial perils that I fell into and the so called Customer Support I received.

To give some background, I am based in the UK and this advice really only concerns other customers based in the EU.

When you head to the pricelist you see a nice big reassuring logo saying “Price Match Promise”, what you may not see, or chose to look at, is the size 4 font terms and conditions, but I’ll come back to that later.
As you scroll down the page you select your service, for me Orange in the UK at £114.99.
You go through the order, paying the amount, only to receive a receipt email 2 minutes later saying you’ve paid £139.99!
Bemused I contacted the Customer Support, who told me that it was subject to VAT.
When I went back to the site, I had to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page (why someone would do this I don’t know) to find the BOTTOM line, where this is mentioned.

Undeterred I contacted customer services again, as the cost with additional VAT was now more than I would have paid elsewhere and I wanted to trigger the “Price Match Promise”.
However I was then informed that if I read the small print in that one, this could not be done retrospectively. But hang on; I only knew this was more expensive after I had paid for it?
That’s worked out pretty well for them!

Finally, I asked if I could have a receipt for the work done. Something simple with just a company letterhead and the cost including VAT, yet this was too much to ask. In the end I had to submit and left it, I couldn’t take the anguish of dealing with people who live in a World where the customer is always wrong. Get with the program people! You’re supposed to take care of customers, not screw them over in the fine print!

We are pleased to learn that the service provided to you worked perfectly and that your iPhone was unlocked successfully. Your handset can now be used on any GSM network, anywhere in the world, is permanently unlocked, and you may update its iOS at anytime, now, or in the future, without fear of it every being relocked.

We can only apologise if you experienced difficulties navigating and understanding the sites content. We make every effort to ensure it is clear and concise.

With respect to your comments regarding VAT, unfortunately it is European law that VAT has to be charged if you are located within the EU. We do not display prices inclusive of VAT as the majority of our customers are US based, and therefore VAT exempt. As you observed, this is stated numerous times on the website and also at the point of order placement.

Regarding your receipt. Be advised that you should always check your spam folders as sometimes our emails get caught by filters. We can only assume you have subsequently located your receipt as it is required in order to validated this review as a genuine customer.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly, and once again, enjoy your permanently unlocked iPhone.

Very very bad service and product.

I ask to unlock my phone and make the payment immediately. It is £53.99.
I waited for one whole month. And the order said its order failed.
I have received an email that thanks about my enquiry but it's only told me that read the FAQs, and a warning that they do not unblock the blacklist phone.
My phone is not blocked/blacklist at all.
I tried to call them numerous time and no one pick up the phone.
They just keep me holding and holding for more than 10 minutes.
I put up comment on trust pilot and until then they start to reply me.
But the things is all they care is ask me to remove my comment here, but didn't give me any kind of solution or what they gonna do about it.
I told them I need a solution for many time until then I'm not delete.
They told me that I'm blackmail them.
And they keep calling a false review and ask me to delete the comment without give me a good and exact solution.
I don't want this to be a defamatory comment.
But all I see now it's a fraud, all they care about is their reputation not about our money or about their service.
I'm really really fed up with this.
Comment your email below and I will show you guys the proof.
Don't believe in it.

In the UK, where we are a legally registered business, it is illegal to unlock a stolen/lost iPhone.

YOUR IPHONE IS BLACKLISTED - IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY APPLE!

WE DO NOT AID THIEVES TO UNLOCK STOLEN HANDSETS!

As far as the claimed blackmail goes - YOU STATED THAT UNLESS WE REMOVE THE BLACKLISTING YOU WOULD WRITE A NEGATIVE REVIEW!

Our policy on the removal of an IMEI blacklisting is clearly stated in our terms and conditions, a link to which is displayed on every page of our website.

but a refund has been issued, and im happy about that at least

Despite repeated efforts to unlock your handset we were unable to. The repeated efforts meant the process took considerably longer than usual, and resulted in an unusual failure. On rare occasions, due to technical issues beyond our control, this can happen.

However, as per our terms and conditions, a full and unconditional refund has been issued.

Got there in the end...

So the phone did get unlocked finally but it was a bit of a fiasco.

Paid up and received confirmation that my phone had been unlocked. Continued as per the procedure but no joy. So I emailed for help. I told them it was a second hand phone - and so they told me it must have been jailbroken (which it hadn't) and this must be why the unlock was unsuccessful. So I asked for a refund, as they offer a "100% guaranteed to work or your money back" and in a terse one-line reply I was told to "Please re-read the terms and conditions you agreed to at the point of sale."

They then emailed me a day later and it turns out they had never unlocked the phone in the first place at all, and that they would reprocess the order. I waited another 24hours and by this time I had already given up hope of it succeeding and bought a new android (my mistake!). Out of curiosity I looked up the IMEI on iphoneimei.info and it had been unlocked - but they never had the courtesy to tell me.

So the service does work... but the customer support is a bit confrontational and aggressive when you ask for an entirely legitimate refund and they don't always know what they're doing when monitoring your order.

James,
Thank you for the honest review. As is often the case, when dealing with third parties, things do not always go according to plan. Our supplier ensured us that your handset had been unlocked, however you advised us it had not. One of the primary reasons the final stage of an unlock cannot be completed is if a jailbreak has been performed on a handset previously. Jailbreaking deliberately corrupts the iOS to enable the installation of "unauthorised" software on an iPhone. This corruption often prevents Apple form successfully sending new carrier settings through to your handset, completing the unlock process.
This was the advise you were given James and as your handset was purchased "used" was the likely culprit for the technical issue you experienced.
We also advised you that we would contact the supplier again to ask them to double check that the handset had been unlocked. In the time it took for us to get a response the unlock status had been changed on Apple's server and you were able to complete the process and your handset was successfully unlocked. There is often a delay in a customer being advised a handset has been unlocked and when the status changes on Apple's server.
We do our up most to ensure all our customers are happy and receive the support they deserve. We can only apologies if on this occasion the support you received fell short of our usual standard. As a good will gesture we would like to offer you a 5% discount on your next order James.
Sorry again for the confusion caused and we hope you enjoy the freedom now afforded you with a permanent factory unlocked iPhone.

Magic!

After having absolutely no success with O2 this website has managed to have my precious iPhone unlocked in 48 hours! As I am abroad I wasn't sure if this would work or even if it could be done. I am well chuffed and thanks to my mate Dave for recommending you - bloody brilliant! Absolutely delighted! For 40 quid I have my treasured phone back and don't have to now spend £500 buying a new one. Magic!

Fabulous!

I was recently given an iPhone 4S locked to Orange in the UK. 6 days after I ordered I got an email telling me the phone was now unlocked. I followed the very simple instructions and I am now using the phone with my Tesco simcard. Brilliant service and I will recommend this site to all my family and friends. Many thanks.

100% legit and worked!

It took some time, 4 days to be exact but it worked 100%! Apparently you cannot instantly unlock an iPhone?

Give them time and they will deliver. Its a lifetime unlock so you wont ever have to worry about unlocking again - all pretty cool!

Just worked....

The service was quick and efficient.
I'd been getting by using a Gevey chip (the hardware hack) in my phone but I wasn't able to upgrade the iOS, and every reboot was a nightmare. I couldn't activate a local SIM while on Business in Munich using the Gevey, so that was the last straw. As I travel extensively in Europe I really needed a permanent, no hassle unlock, and this is it. This unlock was exactly what I needed, worth each penny!
