Putting the luxury (and flavour!) back in tea. Working from home with a teaiere filled with my latest loose leaf (their jasmine silver needle has such a beautiful balance) and timer flipped over always brings a moment of calm to my day in a stylish way.

I've been craving some Lapsang Souchong, for a while now and chose to take the plunge and invest in some from Jing. I didn't really know how I felt about the concept of a Cherrywood smoked variety but decided to take the plunge nonetheless. Oh my how surprised was I. As soon as I opened the bag the kitchen started to fill with that familiar aroma, which only intensified when the tea hit the cup. After that first sip I was hooked and am now actively seeking help for this new obsession. If you are going to try this, I suggest sipping it whilst listening to Colin Hay's song, "It's a Beautiful World". It is the perfect accompaniment.

Many thanks Jing tea for introducing me…
Many thanks Jing tea for introducing me to your wonderful jasmine tea. I find it so satisfying making a pot of your fresh loose tea. Also reply on your fresh camomile tea to help me get to sleep. Your tea bags are always packed in my luggage when I go abroad so I dont miss out on my favourite teas!

Jing tea
Jing tea, very expensive tea bags and the tea bags are made out of plastic. I am horrofied as we all know, plastic with heat gives us cancer and is very bad for the environment. Such an expensive brand I would have expected more e.g paper tea bags not cancerous plast bags.

Huge fan of Assam Breakfast
Huge fan of JINGs Assam Breakfast. A real standout black tea... rich, smooth, and can handle a splash of milk without losing its character.
It’s totally changed my opinion of tea
It’s totally changed my opinion of tea. I never drank loose leaf tea at home until now, I love the Chai and Lemongrass & Ginger, and the Blackcurrant and Hibiscus is the best fruit tea I’ve ever tasted.
Bought several of the teas years ago
Bought several of the teas years ago
Chrysanthemum was one of them
I was taking several of their teas including this one
The teas are caked in heavy metals
My kidneys and liver were hit very badly each time
I contacted specialists
If your feeling weak , run down emotional , double check you have not taken in plastics or heavy metals
I placed an order for the Jing tea for…
I placed an order for the Jing tea for my daughter-in-law for Xmas - I have had no reply or any indication when this will be delivered even after trying to speak to them on the telephone number they issued - just a recorded message and then nothing - have written an email and completed another form but to no avail - this is the first time I have ordered anything and it will be the last time - can someone please contact me
For the second time my order has not arrived.
For the second time, this company has taken payment from my credit card, and not dispatched my order. This time however, they are not responding to emails. Looks like I am going to have to retrieve my money via the credit card guarantee. What a pity as their tea is nice, but it’s impossible to order from them.
Excellent quality and service
I’ve been Using Jing for over 3 years now. First off, they sell high-quality, single-origin tea no matter what you buy.
I also want to give kudos to the team. There have been instances where my order was delayed, but they always recovered quickly with prompt shipments, plus thoughtful small gifts.
Delicious teas, a little hick up in delivery
Saw Jing Tea’s advert on instagram and ordered some teas. They are excellent, the Jasmin Silver Needle and Yunnan white peony my favourites thus far. However… I missed the delivery of my second order and it was sent back to Jing. Although the service team is responsive, it took quite a while to get it all sorted.
A deflated experience given the brand premium positioning
1. Transparency & Sustainability Concerns
- Purchased 50 bags of Jasmine Silver Needle White Tea, sourced from China but packaged in Sri Lanka.
- This indirect supply chain suggests a lack of direct control over suppliers, raising questions about consistency and quality oversight.
2. Undisclosed Packaging Practices
- Nowhere on the website does JingTea disclose that their teas are packed in Sri Lanka—despite marketing "direct sourcing" from origin regions.
- If supply chains span multiple countries, customers deserve clarity.
2. "Net Zero" or Greenwashing?
- Shipping tea from China to Sri Lanka for packaging (before reaching the UK) hardly aligns with carbon-neutral aspirations.
- Their sustainability claims ring hollow—more Emperor’s New Clothes than actionable eco-policy.
3. Questionable Origin Claims
- JingTea markets itself as sourcing the "best tea from each region," yet their White Tea allegedly comes from Yinpan Garden in Fengqing County, Yunnan—a region famed for Dianhong black tea, not white tea.
- Why prioritize white tea from a black tea terroir? The origin story feels mismatched. The website states "We source the highest quality teas from the best producers"
4. Packaging Inconsistencies
- Advertised as "50 biodegradable tea bags" with a net weight of 85g. Simple math (50 × 2g/bag) suggests 100g—so where’s the missing 15g?
- For a brand supplying top UK hotels, such oversights undermine credibility.
- The lack of attention to detail (e.g., inconsistent weights, weak tea quality) suggests JingTea’s "QC" is outsourced to a generic packaging company—not a dedicated tea specialist.
- For a premium brand, this hands-off approach to quality is inexcusable.
5. Flavour & Quality Shortcomings
- Aroma: Typical jasmine pungency (expected).
- Flavour: Lacks depth; dissipates quickly with no lingering finish.
- Steepability: Only 2 infusions (200ml water) before fading—indicative of mediocre tea quality.
- At £38, the value proposition falls short of premium expectations.
Verdict: Needs better sourcing, transparency, and attention to details. No company can survive on one time customers.
Great experience
I placed order before few days and it already arrived. Great and gentle taste, especially the chamomile.
Took money.. order never arrived!
I placed my tea order weeks ago. I’ve been sent no shipping information and have not received my order. I’ve reached out two times, the first time they told me they were short staffed and I would get confirmation that my order was being sent out. Another week went by. I have reached out again and no one has responded.
I wish I never placed an order with them!
Amazon Shipping.
Without any notice whatsoever, despite all the numerous marketing emails, JING have said nothing of their quiet move from DPD to Amazon Shipping.
Next day shipping costs remain the same.
Our first subsequent order was unceremoniously dumped by Amazon Shipping on our cardboard recycling bin … you know, the one that the council empties of, oh, cardboard (like the JING box).
You could not make this up.
Stop making customers do all the work in making sure they receive the goods they paid you for.
All I can say is the best tea ever
All I can say is the best tea ever! Never knew there is peppermint tea existed like this… from the moment I tasted it, I always say to my mind I found the right peppermint tea for me..
Jing cup/saucer set mismatch
I bought a couple of their quite expensive cup and saucer sets as a present only to find they are not a match and slide around badly, which as you can imagine with boiling water is not ideal. The cup is Jing branded, but the saucer is obviously just a close match branded “Ocean”, “Made in Thailand”. I would not have purchased them had I known.
Amazing website and tea
Amazing website and tea that lives up to it. Whether you know much about tea or not, this is the place to discover new varieties that will excite your palate.

Slow to respond to complaint, sent images of broken tray as requested now no reply. Seems short sighted to treat a regular customer this way. Their choice !
