Kenwood KDC66SS22 Useless
I bought a Kenwood KDC66SS22 from Currys.
I also purchased a Care Plan.
The top oven door fell off its hinge on the first occasion I went to use it. Eventually, after much argument with Currys about the Care Plan, it was "repaired".
This is a review of a genuine purchase which can be confirmed with receipts.
The door fell off again on the first use after the "repair".
This could be that the "repair" was not completed correctly, or that there is a design flaw or a manufacturing flaw or that the Kenwood has poor quality control.
In addition to the defective over door, the oven has an extremely noisy fan and an unresponsive clock.
I am still chasing a resolution with Currys as their Customer Care Team has not sorted a second repair.
Regardless of Currys unsatisfactory service, the fact remains that this Kenwood cooker is a totally substandard product.
One star is too generous. I would rate it at zero that were possible.
Excellent Mixer
Recently bought a K-Mix after my trusty Kenwood Chef, which was bought in 1979, finally died. I certainly got my money’s worth from it. The K-Mix is an excellent machine and all I need as my family are all grown up and I don’t bake as much now. It’s so nice with its stripes that I keep it sitting out all the time. Hopefully this will last as long as I need it but I wouldn’t hesitate in buying another one.
Faulty, expensive products with short warranties.
Bought an american fridge/freezer for £800+ only for it to give up working inside 2 yrs. At this point, I found out they only offer a 12 month warranty. Beware before you spend money with this company, they don't even believe in their own product enough to say it will work for more than 12 months. A lot of money to spend for something with such a short lifespan.
Disgusting
My mother in law bought an Kenwood oven from Currys in barnet. Within 18 months she has had to call Kenwood to repair the door handle, then a few months later the fan and then she discovered the main oven didn't work as she is elderly and hadn't used the main oven previously. She was then charged £125 for an engineer to come out and repair. She had no oven over Christmas and Kenwood engineer didn't show up. They then charged her £75 admin fee.... What a disgusting way for a company to treat someone. She has almost paid for the oven again in 18 months getting it repaired. It clearly was faulty from the start. Kenwood could not care less that they are taking advantage of a pensioner!!!!! The oven is now unusable but my mother in law has almost paid for two ovens with all she's forked out. unbelievable way to treat someone especially a pensioner!!!! Poor products and disgraceful customer service. If you buy Kenwood your nuts

2 brand new Titanium Food mixers bought…
2 brand new Titanium Food mixers bought since 2019 and one broken down and in for repair ,the other less than 4 hours old, broken and not working. I have been a loyal and faithful kenwood mixer owner since 1985 and no help from customer service re replacing or refunding or even goodwill to get me to purchase another Kenwood product. I'm at a loss as to this new world we live in.
Advise don't buy a Kenwood range cooker.
Bought a range cooker in November 2020. The Kenwood was the only model available at Curry's that would fit round a gas pipe running along the skirting board. And we needed a cooker in a hurry. After 15 months the fan oven broke and I discovered it has a 1 year guarantee, which tells you everything you need to know. Now the non-fan oven won't hold a temperature above 150C. It's a heap of junk.

I have a Kenwood dual cooker which cost £400.00. Have had it only 2 years. Gas ring pan holder snapped, door now doesn't close, main oven has blown up and the oven door has fallen off. Don't buy a Kenwood cooker.
No contact details - online chat doesn't work
No phone number and the online chat function doesn't work - just stated "0 people in the queue) but nothing happens.
Tried two other emails and they bounce back.
Awful - all I want to do is amend a delivery line on the address - why is it that hard?
I have had a Multi pro food processor…
I have had a Multi pro food processor for 6 years. It cost £349 and I thought it would last me the rest of my life as I only use it once a month. It has died completely after a year of limping through. I had a lidls processor which cost about £45 and it lasted me for 5 years previously to the kenwood.
I brought a blender from this company
I brought a blender from this company, it's amazing.
its really helpfull in my daily rountine. its good experience.
Terrible service
There is no warning on the website that their product would arrive unwrapped. It was bought as an xmas present so it really did spoil the surprise. Getting through to their customer service was a nightmare. Eventually they called back and the agent was just a call handler - not trusted to solve problems or respond properly to customer issues.

Steering wheel controls
Brought a Kenwood DMX8019DABS radio for my car from Halfords everything is working apart from the steering wheel controls as they are not compatible with my Ford fiesta.
My worst Customer Service experience to date.
I wish to purchase a part for my Kenwood Microwave. I have been unable to find it on any Kenwood Parts supplier page so attempted to contact Kenwood for help. It is effectively impossible to speak to anybody at Kenwood. On-line chat redirects to a Company who you have to provide credit card details to make contact. I obtained a phone number for Kenwood which is automated and directed me to Curry’s who in turn directed me to Partmaster. I tried calling Partmaster and was again re-directed to online chat. I must assume that Kenwood do not employ any human beings as neither do Partmaster or anyone else linked to Kenwood. Many companies have appalling customer service but I now believe Kenwood to be the worst. Looking at their ratings, they obviously are not interested in Customer Reviews. Personally I will now avoid their products at all costs.
Terrible company
Terrible company. I really wish I looked at the reviews before buying actually disgusting how long ive been waiting for a blender replacement. More expensive means nothing should of just brought the cheaper ones. Still waiting for a replacement after the last one was wrong
Kenwood has been my trusted friend in…
Kenwood has been my trusted friend in…
Kenwood has been my trusted friend in the kitchen for almost 40 years but my newest appliance makes me curse every time I make a dough. WHY have you saved the little square at the end of the hook? It takes three times as long to knead the dough and with just as many stops to scrape the sides. Environmentally it’s also a bad idea.
Avoid Kenwood Fridge Freezer KIFF70/30
Bought an integrated Kenwood Fridge Freezer model KIFF7020 late Dec 2020, ( with covid bought then, but it was only installed in our new kitchen in March 2021), by Aug 2022 it sort of still works, but pools a lot of water under the salad drawer. Tried the pokey thing & poured hot water down the hole, but there is no blockage. Currys didn't want to know as it was out of the 12 months guarantee. Fridge freezer can't have been fit for purpose when bought, as it only lasted approx 18mths & it's reasonable to expect it to last a lot longer. Currys offered in the end £135.24, we accepted but are disgusted it didn't last a lot longer. My old one Beko is about 8 years old & is still running fine, it's in the garage now, unfortunately that's a 50/50 split & Kenwood is a 70/30 split. Don't recommend this fridge freezer.
Purchased a kenwood mixer for £1200 and…
Purchased a kenwood mixer for £1200 and its broken within 2 years. The after care service is very poor as our machine was picked up and it been nearly 2 weeks and nobody has even looked at it yet. Don't waste your money and be fooled by their clever marketing
I purchased a Kenwood K mix standing…
I purchased a Kenwood K mix standing mixer and all I can say is please do not make the same mistake. Having purchased two previously, with no problems, I got this one for my mum and whenever dough is being mixed, it jumps around and is unsteady. After contacting and initially sending it in, the problem was not fixed. After reporting the problem again and after sending in a video, I was rudely told I should read the manual and only use the mixer on settings 1 or 2 for heavy doughs. When I stayed that the setting was on two and I sent in 2 more videos of the mixer at settings 1 and 2 I was told that is normal and that was it. It is an utter joke. My whole experience was laughable and offensive. Not only did I pay a lot of money for a faulty product but Kenwood’s technicians are nothing but rude. So I say again, do not buy any of their products. It’s not with the money, hassle and sheer aggravation.
