Monday 16/11\2020 mid morning. Thank you so much for the very quick efficient service I received. Excellent service, it only took 15 minutes to get my new tyre put on, very competitive price, all COVID 19 precautions in place. I have used this branch consistently for my car needs as I feel confident in their professional conduct and fairness. Very happy customer.

Have had home insurance with this company for years moved house and called them to let them no , 2 years later after receiving email from company to to tell me they are taking over my insurance on the wrong property , trying to claim my 2 years premium back has been an absolute nightmare after proving everything that have asked for they just keep coming up with something different to provide like documents they sent to the old address , would never use this company again for car or home insurance .

kwik fit ........ stick to tyres and exhausts !!!!!

Appalling the way I was treated!!!! Back in September after being a home insurance customer for 3 years I received a letter saying they were no longer able to offer me home insurance but had found a company that could as it was £180.00 dearer I declined cancelling the direct debit and found insurance elsewhere on the 7th of February I received an insulting letter saying I owed £37.71 saying I had 28 days to pay it some 5 months after I ended the policy!!! If I didn’t pay I’d be referred to a debt collection agency what a disgrace I paid the money and told them I’d rather be flooded than use them as home insurers stick to tyres and exhausts you’re no good with insurance

I would not consider using this company…

I would not consider using this company again for insurance purposes. We have pet insurance and have paid thousands out in premiums over many years, our dog is now 12 years old. We pay £700 per year on one dog! We have been claiming over the last year for medication, not huge amounts, £100 at a time maybe every four weeks but the renewal has just come through for this year and has doubled to nearly £1400.. I phoned them to be told 'it's like car insurance - if you claimed it would go up'.. I explained that it would but unless it was your fault and a big claim (car insurance claims are not £100 at a time for medication - they are multiple thousands - or more when injuries are involved and way beyond the single condition limit on this policy - despite the high premium) then it would go up, but I have never known a policy double when it is being used for what it is intended for! This company have done very well out of us over the years but with a £2000 per condition limit and a £1400 annual policy (actually double the cost of my car insurance) then it is clearly not worth continuing. We will put the money in the bank. Thanks Kwik-Fit for nothing - no loyalty from me and I wish I hadn't stayed with you so long. Loyalty has to be reciprocated.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Their renewal policy is ...IF YOU OPEN THE EMAIL THEY SEND YOU - YOU ARE BACK IN CONTRACT FOR A FURTHER 12 MONTHS...absolutely ridiculous. The support staff are unhelpful and rude and they have now threatened bailiffs over £28 as I canceled my direct debit without knowing that they had unscrupulously put me back in contract for a further year. Day light robbery. Steer clear.

Avoid using Kwik Con

Avoid using this sham of a company. Called to let them know an elderly man had reversed in to me, even told them I had the incident on camera but straight away they wanted an extra £290 for the year on top of what I was already paying plus £250 excess! They didnt seem to care that I wasn't at fault and when I asked if I would get the £290 back she said no. I said, in not so polite terms, stick your insurance, I'd be better off getting the damage fixed myself. A few months the later the old man's insurance called me and had admitted liability no thanks to 'Kwik Fit' PLEASE AVOID this company and pay that extra few pounds on a reputable company. You may be paying less for your insurance with these cowboys, but have an accident that's not your fault and you'll pay the price of their scam. The saving is not worth the stress and aggro you have to go through!

Auto renewal of buildings/contents insurance

AVOID AT ALL COST.
lesson learnt cheapest isnt always the best.

Been with this company for 1 year. They took a payment of £260 3 days before my policy expired without sending me a renewal letter or email. When i called to complain they apologised and offered to refund my money in 3 days. Come a day before the policy to expire they took another £260. Called in to complain and was told the customer service rep pushed the wrong button and took another payment by mistake. Again appolegetic and was promised my £520 would be put into my account within 2 hours.

4 days later still no money in my account. Called again and was told its in the system as a refund and i have to just wait.

Sloppy customer service reps push wrong buttons and promises of money being returned never happened.

WILL BE TAKING THIS FURTHER. Advice to other customers to avoid stress stay well clear from this company.

wait until you have to claim

Have used Kwikfit for my home insurance for past four years paying £290 a year and made no claims. Tried to make a claim yesterday and was quoted page 28 of the policy which states that there is an exclusion on the issue I was claiming for!! They are s bunch of dodgy bandits who you should avoid at all costs. I have now moved to a new insurer at half the cost. I wish I had read these reviews sooner.

This company has taken full advantage …

This company has taken full advantage of me and they should be absolute disgusted in themselves. They do not care about there customers what so ever. Iv been with them for 3 years, I have only been driving for that time so didn’t know that you should shop around once renewal is due incase I get cheaper. They have upped my car insurance every year when I was sure it was to go down... especially after no claims bonus and then me being over 25? Iv unfortunately just had my first crash, I got the car just under 2 weeks ago and haven’t had the log book sent to me when I phoned them, I phoned to just insure the car, surely that’s all they need to know? They said If I had told them that the car was not yet in my name, then my premium would be substantially higher? Surely all I have to do is insure that car then I am legal. You are a total rip off, I’m a single mother with 2 kids only working part time & you are just taking most of my money. My monthly installments are extortionate but I cannot yet afford the cancellation fee. This has caused so much stress for me, they haven’t once tried to keep me to stay with them or thanked me for their custom,it seems like they are trying to push me out the door?!

Daylight robbery

Daylight robbery.
I had home insurance with Kwik Fit. I was paying £16 per month. Just received my renewal quote through for £93 per month! I thought I had read it wrong and that was the new price for the year. I have 5 years without any claims and hadn’t made any changes to the policy yet they seen fit to increase the premiums by £924 for a year. Needless to say I have decided not to renew having obtained a quote paying my current amount from another provider. So much for rewarding customer loyalty. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!

Can only be described as obtaining money by deception

Had car insurance with Kwik fit for a couple of years, then through came my most recent renewal, nearly an 80% increase from previous policy........luckily though, in the letter sent to myself it quite clearly states in black and white, 'if you wish to proceed with the renewal quote please call us' if not, you DO NOT need to do anything as we will cancel your policy on the said date. So far so good as I had a new quote from a competitor which even beat the last policy with kwikfit. Then 2 weeks later I receive a letter from Kwik fit stating I owe them money and they will cancel my policy if I don't pay.....hmm what policy are you referring to Mr kwikfit? Now kwikfit all of a sudden can't answer any of my calls, and the policy has been passed to debt management to collect monies. Er good job I have kept the letter you sent me for renewal because it's quite clear what it states. My next move on the chess board is to pass a scanned copy of the letter to the debt management company and whilst I'm at it, send it to the FCA so they can have a look at what these fraudsters are up to, If I could give a minus stars, i would

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service. Took weeks to even acknowledge my claim (pet insurance) then weeks to sort it out and pay me. I had to constantly chase. I was given incorrect information and there was no interest in my experience as a customer. They Put my premium up because my dog was slightly over his weight band and the supervisor on the phone implied I should restrict my dogs diet to get his weight down, (he is a skinny lurcher) to reduce my premium again. I complained and it was handled really badly. Partly upheld but no redress or appeal offered. I appealed anyway and the person who handled this was very good. He upheld my complaint in full but offered no compensation. I proposed a compromise on compensation but was told no and to to go to ombudsman who now have my claim. I only want about £89. Luckily they seem to have stopped doing pet insurance now.

If I could have left a zero star rating …

If I could have left a zero star rating I would.
What a load of sharks!!
My pet had an operation, which was to remove her dew claws, I say this so that you can see it is impossible to reacur because she no longer has them.
We have loved her many years which has involved her waist line increasing, so much so she has gone from a small breed to medium breed. Thats not a problem as she is still not over weight - in the words of the vet.
However, Kwikfit Pet insurance feel justified in incresing her premiums by over a whopping 100% the only difference to the policy is an increase in weight of 1.5kg.
This is not my only complaint, They received the claim over a month ago and still no contact from them. They only get in touch when they inform you you need to pay more.
Staff at customer services are quite obviously reading from the textbook, no one seem to comprehend what I was trying to say just kept repeating the same line.
Will I continue with the policy, well if I don't they will sting me for the rest of the premiums at the increased rate. So what choice do I have, over a barrell springs to mind.
Would I renew, not on your nelly.
Started the complaints procedure but don't hold up much hope, as they are no longer taking on new customers they have no need to watch there ways as poor feed back is not a problem for them.
In summing them up I would definately say they are not a company with any morals, would I use them for any other insurance, NO, would i reccommend them NO.
Shame on you Kwikfit, your should feel ashamed of yourselves

Cheaper is not always best

Cheaper is not always best! Insured car with this bunch of cowboys - half way through policy I got a new car, Kwikfit refused change of details claiming their computer didn't have the vehicle as an option....would be understandable if I had bought a car from outer Mongolia but the car was from Land Rover! Totally unhelpful and a complete waste of money, should have known from them being garage rip off merchants; avoid like the plague!
