Always helpful

I have used Micro Direct for many many years and have found AK to be a great source of information and she goes above and beyond her remit. Don't ever let her go!

Very Poor Service and No communication at all, Avoid at all Cost

Ordered a couple of 8mb memory Cards, They simply never arrived. I was given a tracking number for Royal Mail. This number existed but was never shown as delivered. So it seems they posted out a parcel 2 weeks late, but it never arrived with me. I emailed and phone without luck, No one in returns was available and no one returned my calls or emails.

Reported to Paypal and my credit cards. Paypal have still not received a reply.

Simple do not buy from this company they are simply rubbish, read the reviews and go elsewhere.

Worst company I have ever delt with.

I sent my motherboard back for replacement and obviously it will not be replaced. have to get my credit card company to repay me. Should have stuck with [External Reference]. When I phoned they said it was a new company. Same name, same people do not use this company.

ludicrously slow, don't bother complaining to moody

Had to wait 10 minutes in an empty store to buy a component, which would have been ok had there not been 5 staff milling about as I was waiting! I was completely ignored by the staff and my complaint about the waiting time was completely ignored by moody. Unacceptably poor, shoddy service from a substandard company.

Worst customer service ever

Ordered a monitor in good faith, arrived with a smashed screen, tried to raise a RMA number - apparently the system is broken! eventually managed to get it returned microdirect blamed me for where they refused to accept responsibility for the damage and sent it back. it came back in even worse state - one panel hanging off and the box smashed to smithereens. Now i just get ignored So if you value your money I would never use this business

It looks like this is standard practice for the company to send out shoddy goods and then not do anything about it

Customer Services.... What Customer Services?

I've placed a fair few orders with MicroDirect over the past few years - their prices have been competitive and next day delivery has usually meant just that.

But. If you ever have cause to contact the company (in my case for non-delivery) the pain begins...

1. Emails go unanswered for a week.
2. Phone calls are answered by an automated system that NEVER puts you through to speak to anyone.
3. Calls to Sales are answered (funny that) but they refuse to put you through to Customer Services. Excuses range from they're in another building, to there's a problem with their phones.
4. They refused to issue a refund for an order that was never delivered - wait for it - until I returned the goods!
How on earth that works is beyond me.

In the end I got my money back from the credit card company.
Let the bank to deal with MicroDirect, and MicroDirect can claim for the lost goods through CityLink. Not from my pocket.

My recommendation would be a strong 'avoid'.

Good Site

Used them for 15 years, by phone orders before they had a website. Never had a problem.
