What a joke

Absolutely shocking conduct from what I thought was a reputable company.
Not only have you taken money from my account fraudulently, but only today (5 days after refund was confirmed) have I been told that it's going to be another 10 working days for the refund to be processed!
I WILL be cancelling my contract and I WILL NOT be paying and termination fees!!
Absolutely disgusting customer services, you should be ashamed!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FANTASTIC - Review by a long term customer

I would be too afraid to leave a company like O2 as the service is so customer friendly. It ranks alongside companies like First Direct Bank, Viking Direct, Costain , Bam, John Lewis. Hilti and Screwfix and I cant think of many more.

HERE IS MY REVIEW OF BT and you will see from the comments how highly I praise O2 who are quite simply way out in front with customer service.

BT broadband Phone & TV (I gave BT 2 stars below is the review I left)

Ive had the package since 23 May 2015 at SA13 2BA. There was a £5 fee/5MB to go over the 20MB montly usage & its has now increased by 50%, The real issue here with BT is the customer service. Its going test out any patience streaks you may have. A poor service needs to be apologised for rather than dictating terms that allow it to fester. I have a phone broadband with O2 business for example at another address. The O2 service is so good you think to send them a Christmas card. I think BT could pull this around but the money charging culture overides any notion of a truly pleasant customer service. Im currently looking at the option of getting a broadband service in addition whilst my contract runs itself out. Certainly Im too afraid to upgrade my existing and lock into another 12 months.

Shocking service, rip of customers and show no remorse

My recent dealings with O2 have left me with very little confidence in them. I have been charged for calls apparently made from my SIM card. The calls have 100% not been physically made by be yet I've been forced to pay 168 or gave bad credit against my name. The people I have spoke to are rude and very unhelpful and I will be leaving them once my contarsct is up

Wish I never left O2 to three

I was a O2 customer from the beginning when the company was bt. I foolishly moved to three six months ago and regret every second. The customer support at three is shocking. I just can't wait to get through the remaining 18 months and re join O2

Shop invaded privacy

Do not trust all stores when doing a recycle with your phone. Make sure they let you factory reset it. Great Yarmouth store wouldn't allow me to do it and advised me they don't do it on site. I spoke to the Norwich store who told me this is not the case and should be done in front of customers. When i asked to factory reset the phone they wouldn't hand it back. I feel that they then went and looked at my private data and could possibly have saved some. This is unacceptable and i feel disgusted by o2 for this allowing their staff to do this

Reliable Service

O2 have been reliable, however their call centre provides very incorrect information - they really need to work on this.

Very very bad service

Very bad service. I have been using different operators in my life in different countries. But O2 are the worst.
It is just with O2 that you can have some weird bills for something that you didn't subscribe to and never used. And they will tell you that they cannot do anything, you should complain and wait.
I have the bad experience of a fake ABO: Wap-Abo: Quiz/net mobile AG
I have heard a lot of other bad experiences from my colleagues.

Don't trust what they tell you

I was on chat with O2 yesterday and was told it would be £165 to pay up my contract and upgrade to the new iPhone 6. I was told I can't do this on chat but need to call O2. I did this today and I told whatever I was told yesterday was wrong - the figure is £300+!! Sorry about that the O2 representative tells me you were given incorrect information. We can't honour that. No offer of a good will gesture - (i.e. we'll meet you half way). Not good enough I say - 8 years an O2 customer with 3 phones on my account. Obviously, not valued by O2 - that's ok I'll vote with my feet and take my business elsewhere. Their network coverage is shoddy anyway and when they give you false information they think that's just OK and you should accept that. You can't trust O2 obviously.

Absolute shambles.

Being with O2 since I was a teenager, just under 10 years, O2 messed me about completely. after paying my insurance every month for a year, when my phone did break neither O2 or the O2 insurance I had covering my phone would do anything about it. In store or on the phone. I sent two letter of complaints to the complaints team at the O2 Head Quarters and didn't hear a single thing. I then had to pay just short of £100 to buy out the rest of my contract! Absolute disgrace. Bye-Bye O2, I have now moved to EE and they are brilliant.

no more miss loyal...loyalty means nothing to o2

I have been a very loyal customer to o2 for quite a few years but today found that means nothing. I renewed my contract last year on a £14 tariff, a couple of months later I EASILY transferred to a higher tariff as my circumstances were different and needed the extra data. Now my circumstances have changed I AM NOT ABLE to go back to my previous tariff that I originally signed up for or an even cheaper tariff. I say cheaper tariff..what I had in mind was to reduce my current one down as low as possible and add on an extra contract to my account for my son.

The chat service I received was ok at first as they thought I was going to sign up for a new phone, but I soon realised that there was no intentions of helping me reduce the other tariff I started asking more n more what they could do for me I was transfered from person to person. In the end I told them how disappointed I was and left the conversation.
Over an hour of my time wasted, well I guess it isnt wasted as I learnt a lesson O2 DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I've never missed a payment, never abused any of their unlimited services. I'm off elsewhere as soon as my contracts up !

Absolute evil money sucking thieves with concept of what loyality and quality service means

For the past 2 years O2s has been constantly abusing the charges of my mobile data . On the 7/3/14, I purchased a sim and applied an amount if £15 for free calls and 1 GB of data . Throughout the few days I have only ventured into social networks sites like Facebook, Twitter and email .
EVERY time I end my section , I immediately disabled ALL data functions which consists of 3 way deactivation so their is no chance any internet data is used

5 days later ,I received a message saying that I have used all my data . This isn't the first time O2 has taken advantage . When I had the iPhone 3 , they did the same . When I came to their store and reported this on several occasions I was bombarded with pathetic excuses . I was told that the software needed updating as the original one may have been responsible. I upgraded it I the new software and still the problem continued . I went to Apple and they checked it and said the the fault is with O2- which I do not doubt for second
I have asked O2 on several occasions for print of all the data use and they ingored me . The managers refuse to speak to me and when one eventually spoke to me..He name was Lisa, she was extremely dismissive and not listened to a word i said and kept implying that i must have use videos on Facebook which i explained i do not. I have only downloaded one app and the other two apps was downloaded using wifi via their shop

I sincerely hope that OFCOM is reading this and hold them fully accountable to lying and stealing from their customers. I am happy im no longer with those thieving pigs and i sincerely hope they recieve their come uppants

Fraudulent accounts opened and no one listens to us.

In June 2011 two O2 accounts were opened fraudulently in my sons name, one being a business account. The first we knew of them was a bill from O2 in July 2011 which we responded to by phoning O2 and questioning what was happening. Since then the situation has escalated with debt collecting companies contacting my son and now solicitors.

We have reported the accounts to The Ombudsman and after 2 investigations they came to the conclusion that "based on the evidence supplied to them." my son was liable for the payments which are now £1600 for the one account and £6000 for the other. Interestingly O2 were selective in the information they supplied the Ombudsman. But now even the Ombudsman will not look at the case again as they say they have closed it.

During the investigation by the ombudsman O2 still sold phones to the Person who was alleging to be my son and also delivered to an address in London which when we googled appears to be an empty block of flats.

We paid for all the information held on my son and read that even O2 operators were suspicious of the person who was unable to offer Photo ID and who would not give e mail addresses. The accounts were opened in 2 stores and O2 have admitted that the necessary ID checks were not carried out as "the systems were down at the time".

We have logged the crime with Action Fraud , been to CAB for legal advice to not avail. We have had the MP and Police involved and O2 have refused to produce the information requested. Throughout this ordeal we have responded to every e mail and letter and have provided any information they have requested.

We are feeling so desperate now as Legal action has been threatened and we seem to be fighting against a company who do not listen to the individual. In the mean time my sons credit rating is also damaged while the criminals out there are laughing as they carry on opening accounts. My other 2 sons also had accounts opened in their names over the past 2 years but thankfully we have managed to sort these out within a short space of time.

Has anyone else suffered in a similar way as we would appreciate support and feel setting up a group to fight O2 may be more productive than an individual trying to do anything. Please respond.
