Do what they're called out for fine but the rest is a bit of a mess

The job was a simple washer/dryer repair (something stuck in the pump) and that was completed very quickly with no issues. The guy was lovely and arrived on time. Where I did run into some problems is that he said that the hinge on the door over the machine (it's built-in) was cracked. Not something I had previously been aware of as the door worked fine. He then offered to fix it - for a charge- to which I said no thanks as I can do that myself. I don't know if he was just trying to be super helpful or if he assumed that, as a woman, there was no chance I could use something as complicated as a screwdriver, but he then proceeded to try to fix it anyway. But only managed to break it completely. And then leave - after taking pictures of the door closed and carefully balanced to make it look all fine when in reality it currently hangs off one hinge. Not the end of the world, but a damned nuisance and not a great end to the job.

Also, their online booking system let me book an appointment for a time when they weren't even open. I had an automated booking confirmation and everything, dutifully waited during my allocated time slot and no one turned up. Don't believe it, they don't keep the availability updated properly.

Slow at repairs and even slower refunding money but no chance of that now!

I sent my iphone 3GS to this company for a battery and rear case replacement at the end of November. The phone was received by them next day and I was promptly emailed that the battery did need replacing, as did the cracked rear casing which was caused by the expanded battery. As I had already paid in full for these repairs I was prepared to wait the week they requested to acquire a new stock of rear cases.
After a week I was emailed an apology and informed that the part had still not arrived and to wait another week. During this time I was able to obtain a new rear case via eBay. I contacted the company and was told by customer services that they were having difficulty in obtaining the part. I then had an email from the technician asking if I would prefer to just have the iphone fitted with a new battery and returned to me with the original cracked case, The new case element of the bill would then be refunded. I told them that this was acceptable.
I received the iphone in working order the next day and was able to fit my own case with the aid of a special iphone tool kit also obtained from eBay and video instructions on Youtube!
I never received the refund promised and probably never will, but losing the £25 Rear Casing charge is small compared to what some unfortunate people have lost, by the sound of it!!

iPad sent back without repair and money taken.

I have just been duped by this horrible company.
Before their website went down and ceased trading I had sent my cracked screen iPad for repair. They sent it back to me, but since then found out that no money is returned. A whole two weeks wasted and £71 been nicked.
I wished I had found this website and listen to these reviews, before I parted with my money with these creeps!
Why can't we give 0 star?

SCAMMED :( They still have my ipad2 and my money and their company is not trading any longer.

I sent my ipad2 to have my screen repaired and paid for it. That was november 10th 2013 and after a month always saying the same that they were waiting for the parts. i started complaining ..all promises and nothing done..on the contrary they wanted to charge me for more money to repair something else in case once they repaired the screen they damaged the audio ..then i started suspecting something wrong. I was right. I sent an email on the 3rd of january demanding my ipad2 to be sent back and on the 4th of january they sent an email saying the business has ceased working and they will send me the iPad 2 but so far i have not received my ipad2 and they don't even mention of returning my money back.
Now after reading your page i see it was a SCAM …if people have been complaining since before September and they take my money in november it is obvious they are crooks. also i have noticed in this page is that the few people who say good things about repair4.com if you look at those comments . they are mainly people with no pictures or pictures of animals …maybe even those few positive opinions might be the crooks themselves with faked profiles. WATCH OUT!

My advice - don't use!

Ordered a screen replacement repair for my iPad. Like so many other reviewers I was contacted to say that they didn't have any parts and would update me within in a few days.

Once the days were up I chased again and received another email saying that the parts were now due in on a different date. This went on for a few weeks so I asked for my iPad to be returned to me.

I was eventually sent a despatch email to say the, still broken, iPad had been sent. However, it didn't turn up. Luckily I have a contact at Royal Mail who investigated the tracking reference and informed me that they had no record of it ever entering their network.

I then threatened legal action and they did send the item that day. I suspect they were holding onto it in the hope that they would have parts to fix it and retain the sale but this is decitful at best.

A real shame as I used them once before and had a positive experience. However, this experience has left me nervous about their credibility.

In addition, I have still not had a credit despite them saying that they have processed it.

Form your own opinion but proceed with caution! I wouldn't use again.

NOT HAPPY AT ALL! TERRIBLE SERVICE, AWFUL EXPERIENCE ALL ROUND! IT COST ME £8 TO NOT GET MY PHONE REPAIRED. WASTE OF TIME.

Firstly - it is disgraceful that you can only write comments if you are satisfied. So Repairs4 block out comments if they do not like them??

They kept my phone for 3 weeks when they promise to repair in one day. It then took them another 2 weeks to refund my money.

I sent my iphone 4s in for a screen repair which they received on the 5th November. They told me a week later they were awaiting a part and the phone would be with me by the end of the week. This came and went, and I called to chase. Still no parts, but they are coming in this week. Again nothing. I was then told that they had no idea when they would get parts in and I had to wait indefinitely. They finally sent the phone back to me on 25th November, It took them until the 8th December to refund my money. They constantly promised that a manager would call me back but never did, and they ignored all of my emails.

I would never consider using or recommending this company. They never once were understanding or apologetic and simply kept telling me it was not their fault. They will also promise to refund, and then will not investigate for 10 WORKING DAYS if anything goes wring.

Utter, utter ineptitude, they do not deserve to be in business. I look forward to seeing them on Watchdog.

Satisfactory despite previous bad reviews

I required a new battery for my old Iphone 3GS and sourced this company through Google. The phone was despatched for a diagnostic test and was received the following day. Anemail was sent follwoing receipt and the next day another e-mail received saying I needed a new bttery and connection. I then had to wait a week or so for a new battery to arrive (disappointing) but this came an I rcieved my phone duly repaired an up and running.
Having read other reviews (after I had sent my phnoe for repair!) I was overly cautious and therefore probably impatient, but in reality the whoe process was satisfactory and I would use this company aain

Like most other posts - AVOID

My experience rings true with so many other posts here. No responses to multiple written communication. Very slow - I gave up on their 24 hour service after more than 3 weeks.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

I paid for a 'queue jump' service but the company had my ipad for over 4 weeks and kept using the excuse that they were waiting for supplies of screens to arrive! Each week they advised a shipment was due but then apologised because it didn't arrive! I arranged to collect my ipad but was told that I would still lose £6.99 for delivery because that's what it says on their website!!!! Still waiting for a refund - I would definitely check reviews of a company before I use them in the future - this company is using false advertising my saying they can repair your item within 5 days!!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM if you want your device repairing quickly - or not repairing as was my case!!! I am a genuine customer of Repairs4 - and have documented emails to prove their inability to repair my ipad.

Don't touch this company - they've had my phone for two and half months....!

Despite their advertised turnaround time of 5 days, Repairs4 seems to be completely unable to source parts. They had had my device for over two and half months and NOTHING has been done! While the young lady on the phone is very helpful, I have been told repeatedly that the parts are expected within a couple of days. I have just requested that my device be returned to me as I'm completely and utterly fed up with this sham of a company. I have had only two emails from them in all that time - I have had to ring at my convenience to try and find out what's been going on - which has actually been absolutely nothing. Terrible...!

Left me in tears!!! AVOID!!!!

This company has had my phone since the 29th of September! Their website states that if you do not pay for the 24 hr service they will have your phone back in 5 working days. It has now been 2 months. I use my S4 to organise both my personal and processional life. At first the did not even communicate the delay until I got time off work(As they are only open 9-5 when you are at work) as I had no phone to call them. After calling them and a few angry emails they promised it would be back with me the following week. Now they send me an email containing the same next week promise. I have called and emailed to the point that this is affecting me psychologically and in tears as I type this message. 3 weeks ago I asked them to send back my handset and issue a refund. Instead they send me these emails...No offer for compensation considering the toll this has taken on my life....and now considering going to small claims court. I know a few have been affected by this and I fully intend to start a petition on FB against this company so we can all take them to small claims court! I have kept copies of most of my correspondence and when I asked for them to give me a discount as a result of them not providing the service promised they ignored that email! Soooo frustrated...DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AS YOU WILL NEED COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF THERAPY AFTER!!!!! HORRIBLE PEOPLE!

Terrible service - avoid

I arranged a repair for my Iphone via the website. Fortunately for me my phone started working again soon after.

I later noticed that my credit card had been charged for the repair even though I hadn't even sent the phone to them. I've emailed and called them several times to request a refund and many weeks later I still haven't received it. I now need to ask my credit card company to investigate. What a pain.

Website promises everything - company delivers nothing!

I sent my IPhone 4S to this company following on from a really good experience and impression from their website. It is laid out well and really easy to use and select the service you require. a professional and confidence building experience. However, that's where the professionalism ends!! My phone was signed for by the MD of Repairs4, with the courier company the next day that i sent it, although it took several days for my account status to change to show they had received it. What was a simple screen change, has now taken six weeks to date, and i have still not received my phone back, as apparently the batch of screens were faulty, and they are waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for another batch to come in from China. Seems very familiar with another comment here on TrustPilot relating to batteries??? I have to chase them most of the time to give me an update and sometimes i still do not get a reply.
I have had the phone screen replaced in the past by a different company, who took a little over three hours to replace the screen from start to finish, however i lost their name and contact details! Now I wish I hadn't!!!!!
I'm still waiting for any update as to the progress of repairs, but who knows when i will get my phone back?
I have an IPhone 5 that needs repairing as well, and thought i would send my 4S first to see how good the service was; now i know not to send that to these guys.

Very disappointed with what started out as a good experience from the website, but has ended up being nothing but trouble since.
