Short-break messed up our otherwise nice trip to Bruges

Short-break supplied very comprehensive travel instructions on getting from Eurostar to Bruges via local trains, however they were utterly useless! There was no correlation between their instructions and what we found in Belgium, and we are seasoned travellers. Station info desk directed us to a train which took 2.5 hours instead of the 1 hour fast train. Oh the joy on starting our short break which was becoming ever shorter!
Return journey was just as bad, starting with trying to change which eurostar train we returned on. We ended up paying a full fee of €450 to change trains with eurostar, with no assistance from short breaks, other than telling us to speak with eurostar - so pretty much No help at all!

Not to be trusted!

The 2* is for the Eurostar part of the travel arrangements which went well, as for the rest... Inaccurate description of hotel room which led to an inapproapriate booking where two beds were required not one. Hotel in Paris did not make much effort to do anything about it and buck passing between the hotel and Short-breaks regarding who takes responsibilty. We resovled it ourselves by taking another room in a hotel nearby but Short-breaks did not provide compensation or reimbursement. I note that they have since changed the way they advertise rooms!

Disgraceful customer service. Do not book with this company!! They do not provide you with correct information

I booked a weekend to Paris with short breaks. The company did not provide me with the correct travel information (apparently I was meant to check this and know this when I never knew I needed certain information!) when contacting them they took far too long to respond and they did not even issue an apology for the massive disruption they caused to my break before travel and during the break. Never known a company with such poor customer care!

Great price, wonderful customer service

I booked three nights in Paris on Eurostar and was really pleased with the price and hotel location. On my last night, I had a theft from my room, and the staff at the hotel dealt with it really badly. On my return, I let Short Breaks know what happened and they couldn't have been more professional.

They called me to apologise, conducted an investigation with the hotel chain, refunded my whole accommodation cost and have taken the hotel off their site until they can be assured that security and customer service has improved.

Anyone can be good at their job when things go right. You can tell great customer service by how they deal when things go wrong. From my experience, Short Breaks customer service is up there with the best.

Great company, well established and excellent customer service

I booked a family trip to Disneyland Paris with Short Breaks this year. We had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend it. After searching around a number of places we managed to find a superb 'self-drive' package for all of us with Short Breaks (they offer many options to travel including Eurostar). They had better prices than anywhere else I could find, and the customer service representatives were really very helpful. I would definitely recommend this company to others.
