Do not send your watch for a repair…

Do not send your watch for a repair through Skagen/fossil !!!
I had the unfortunate experience of sending my Skagen watch to fossil as the clasp had broken. The estimated total was £20, however I received a quote from them after sending it off for £93 which included replacing the analogue movement and a number of other things I did not need. I unselected these items and went to pay, but to my horror I got a receipt for the full £93! I immediately sent an email stating I only wanted the clasp replacement and I received an email reasurring me I would be refunded for the other items. I kept in touch over the next few weeks as I couldn't afford to spend £100 on a watch which was only worth £150 a few years ago! I was continually told not to worry and that even if it took a long time I would get my money back and it would be sorted out. I then received an email stating they could not give me a refund as their repair centre didn't agree I should be refunded !! I was then returned my watch apparently all fixed. I actually received my watch in a worse state than I had sent it off. It would consistently lose an hour over the course of the day and the hands weren't set properly so it was impossible to tell what time it was. After telling fossil this, the only solution they came up with was for me to go to the trouble of returning my watch to them so they can investigate a problem which they created. The mechanism in the watch worked perfectly well beforehand.
I have now been left with a completely broken watch after having paid nearly £100 for absolutely nothing.
Absolutely appalling service!!!!!!!

You need an option for 0 stars or even…

You need an option for 0 stars or even minus for this company.
I have been battling since Jan 21st to try and resolve Isuues.
I have been constantly lied to and ignored.
Past from pillar to post with no one taking ownership of problems.
But today some 4 months later of phone calls and e mails I have finally been able to delete and breath as issues are at last resolved.
Do yourselves a favour avoid this company. They are quick and happy to take your money but any issues you will probably get lied to and ignored as well

Why won't you answer me

Trying to buy a new watch for my wife. I want to know the depth/thickness of the watch . Two emails and no response. Two phone calls - gave up after 15 minutes each time listening to their music. Treating potential customers with contempt!

‘Ease of service’?! Don’t touch this lot!

I ordered a watch from Skagen as a Christmas present to myself as I had undergone a serious operation. The watch was despatched on 16th December.

On arrival, I decided it wasn’t for me and my son returned it via Royal Mail on 22nd December as I could neither walk nor drive.
I’d tried phoning three times for a returns label but each time gave up on any hope of getting a reply. I was left hanging.
A refund wasn’t forthcoming so I emailed and rang on 11th January to be assured that the item had been received and I was about to get a refund. They apologised profusely, said they had received the watch but there had been delays in processing a refund due to staffing, Christmas and the new year.

Since then, during the last few days I’ve been emailed to say they haven’t received the watch, have no record of it and want the tracking number, which I no longer have.

It’s poor customer service to state a refund is about to be made as the item has been received. Now they claim they haven’t had the item. ‘Ease of returns’? I really don’t think so Skagen! Keep clear of Skagen if you value your time and money!!!

The product is beautiful but .....

The product is beautiful and well designed and recently I was bought a Skagen Falster 3 Smart watch. Looks great great functionality and now we come to the service. After ten weeks the silicone wrist band for the watch split completely. I realise the straps aren't covered under warranty but one would expect the strap to last more than a couple of months. I thought I would phone and appeal to their better nature, after an hour on hold with no reply I decided that emailing would be a better option. To be fair the next day they did reply with a standard email that didn't really cover my question so I emailed again to be informed that the strap would not be covered but I would have to send the watch in to the repair shop which could take up to 2-3 weeks and they would let me know if it would be chargeable or not so now left with the only option of spending another £40 for a new strap. Not overly impressed

BEWARE !

1)Poorly Functioning Website
Skagen;'s website repeatedly declined to accept a product discount code. Six emails to the company were required to access the discount offered.

2)Chaotic and wholly unacceptable repair / after sales service.
I returned my watch for a replacement bracelet.. The replacement bracelet was faulty, which necessitated me returning the watch for a second time.As this second 'return' was the result of SKAGEN's unsatisfactory replacement, i requested that the postage be refunded. This took at least 10 emails to effect. Again, not a productive use of my time.

Also concerned that my new bracelet seems less substantial than the original bracelet, and that 2 local jewelers are declining to replace SKAGEN watch batteries because of frequency of glass shattering.
