Very bad experience with this company that no longer run under the brand of Smart Traffic. I believe they are now branded as Bigg. Our relationship started well but due to poor SEO practices and non transparent activity with clients our websites were serverely penalised and 18 months after we are still trying to recover at considerable cost.

Smart Traffic fast tracked me to fantastic google rankings on the main keywords and I couldn't have been more pleased. Running a small business with only 10 employees meant I could never specialise in SEO - that is why I out sourced. Problems occurred when we dropped off the face of planet google and I couldn't figure out why. They told us it was a new role out of panda or such like and then positions would return. My friend, with SEO knowledge told me all of our links had been disavowed - links that we naturally had from the likes of The Times, The Telegraph, and eminent industry specialists! Then he pointed out that the remainder of our links were from companies abroad that had nothing to do with our industry. Smart Traffic denied having disavowed links but they were the only ones in a position to do this. Black hat techniques? Make you own mind up but do not trust Smart Traffic (Now called Bigg) - why have they changed their name....Mmmmm I wonder!

They sound very professional on the phone, but when it comes down to it completely useless ! Borderline commercial fraud !

Overall very good job! We appreciate the technical knowledge of those guys as well as a good client service. Our rankings have improved significantly within the last 1.5 years and therefore higher revenue. Hopefully, it keeps going..

We have been working with Smart Traffic for approximately 2 years now. Our campaign manager has been excellent and more importantly we have had great results from the expert work they have undertaken. Google always appears to be changing its algorithms, but the Smart Traffic team have constantly kept us updated and adjusted our strategy accordingly.

Online enquiries and orders have gone up by 46% in the last 12 months due to being found both organically and in the map listings!

We have been using smart traffic since 2011. Since that time, our number of Internet leads has increased by around 30% each year. They are always looking for ways to continue to improve our rankings and number of website hits. We are extremely happy with the work smart traffic do for us and see our relationship continuing for many years.

I met a very plausible account manager from Smart Traffic, who seemed competent and plausible throughout our 15-month relationship with Smart Traffic.

That's where the good news ends. I felt that Smart Traffic let me down on simple technical competence, and in the delivery of their core serice, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

The first sign of trouble was when they got FTP access to my website to introduce content changes to our website. They assured both me and my hosting company that the changes they wanted to make could not possibly endanger the website and that it was safe to grant them FTP access. Smart Traffic then promptly trashed my website. Then they denied it was them until my hosting company were able to prove it was them.

We got over that, but over a period of time their performance on SEO just stalled. I'm not new to this, I didn't expect to pay £10,000 and shoot to the top of Google, but we spent more than that and barely struggled onto the bottom of page 2 - before we started drifting backwards!

I first began to feel conned when I received a report lauding the steady progress that was being made, whilst the the stats showed a slip in positioning for our key search string (proposed by Smart Traffic in the first instance, not some obscure string chosen by me). I found myself paying over £1,000 each month for the privilege of explaining to somebody that position 24 is actually lower than 21, not higher. Quite ridiculous.

I should have ended the relationship the very instant that we stopped making visible progress. There were companies who ranked miles above us who I know well. I spoke to them, and found they were doing nothing, or very little, in the way of SEO, and yet were 10 places above us 15 months into our campaign with Smart Traffic.

I feel an idiot because I actually checked the reviews before I entered into a contract, and even spoke to one of the companies. But there was one review, which I ignored, where the business appeared to have exactly the same experience as I went on to 'enjoy'.

I reckon we ended up spending about £18,000. I accept there is an element of smoke and mirrors about SEO, and I didn't expect either instant or spectacular results. Anywhere on Page 1 would have been brilliant, consistently on Page 2 would have proved that Smart Traffic knew what they were doing. In fact, tiny little back-bedroom businesses consistently ranked above us for reasons that Smart Traffic could never adequately explain - I should have trusted my logic a lot earlier.

My final cancellation invoice felt like paying off a thief.

Smart Traffic has got me the results I wanted in a relatively short period of time, not just page one but the top positions for my target keywords....so yes I am very happy. My campaign managers SEO knowledge is spot on and I get regular feedback on the work they are doing as well as other services they offer. As far as an SEO project goes, I can’t really ask for more so thanks

Site traffic "managed" SEO for 2 of my sites for more than 12 months. Prior to them commencing both sites were at least ranking. After we finally parted ways, neither one ranked anywhere. The originally contract was to pay them for 6 months, after which they would cease billing me if the stated objectives had not been achieved and then would continue working until they were achieved. After 6 months, they continued billing my credit card. Eventually they stopped, but after repeated attempts to have the money reimbursed they have ceased all correspondence. Negative results AND unethical. Caveat emptor!

We had previously worked with a number of SEO companies and been promised the world – with absolutely no results other than massive monthly bills. We engaged with Smart Traffic in August last year and since the initial meeting the service that we have been provided has been fantastic. We have seen outstanding SEO results and rankings within such a short time. The increased traffic and engagement from prospective clients has been incredible. The service has been second to none – the monthly reports, the advice and tips and ideas of what they will be working on in the coming month is exactly what you want when running a business – your business is your asset and Smart Traffic understand this and have continually worked with us to reach our goals and targets.

We signed up with Smart Traffic in July of 2013 believing their hype that they would be able to improve our showing on the major search engines.
We found the company to be (in our opinion) inefficient, uncaring and incompetent. In the 14 months we were with Smart Traffic we had a succession of 4 account managers such was the turn over of their staff, all of whom started the process again from the beginning. We are currently taking legal action against the company for refusing to refund the £3900 fee when they failed to fulfil the terms of a guaranteed results contract.
The only positive thing they did for us was a site quality assessment with some basic suggestions for on-page improvements which we duly carried out. Our showing on the major search engines did not improve significantly for the entire period we were with the company.
Despite the promise of detailed monthly reports to show the work carried out we received only a few monthly ranking reports telling us that our site was nowhere on the search engines (as if we did not already know!). These reports soon stopped and we were getting no information from the company despite repeated requests for reports and details of work in progress.
Poor communication was a feature of Smart Traffics methods and the lack of reports was possibly an attempt to cover up the fact that they were doing very little on our behalf. We explained to them that our business was struggling due to its lack of showing on the search engines but this seemed to fall on deaf ears.
We regret very much having signed up with Smart Traffic and encourage anybody considering them for SEO work to think again. They are very expensive and their contracts are heavily weighted in their favour.

Regrettable my experience with Smart Traffic has been very poor and very costly. I signed up for a 12 month contract at a cost of £14,400 inc VAT. Things were slow to start with, as I expected but after 6 months we had seen a moderate increase in traffic and the campaign was going okay. However after 10 months our traffic started to fall until the end of the campaign when all our gains had gone and our traffic after 12 months was 40% less than it was before we signed up with Smart Traffic. Things have only got worse since then. They built all the links they promised and advised us on the onsite issues which we put right but by the end of the campaign our traffic was worse than when we started. I realise that over the last 12 months Google has changed its search algorithm but never the less Smart Traffic took £14,400 from us and after all this our traffic was 40% less than when we started with them.

As a result of this drop in traffic, my business has been severely affected and is making very little money which is making life very un-comfortable. Smart Traffic advised me that they could put this right but I would need to commit to another 12 month campaign in order for them to increase my traffic.

Obviously I would be foolish to do this as it has already cost me enough and what is more the business would be unable to sustain an investment of even half this amount due to our poor performance in the search listings.

I will never use this companies services again, in fact my experience with Smart Traffic has given me a negative opinion of SEO firms in general. I felt I had carefully chose an SEO firm and so wanted to write a good review and boast about how well my site was doing and the money had been well spent but frankly I am just embarrassed that their representative promised the earth and once the campaign was over my traffic was worse than when we started.

Stay well clear of this SEO company they are very "Smart" when it comes to taking your money but in my experience thats where it ends.

I run an E-Commerce website in the UK which until a few months ago was pretty much invisible to Google. Furthermore the traffic that was coming my way rarely turned into leads or orders. After a recommendation from a partner business who had used their services I contacted Smart Traffic with the main aims of upping my traffic and helping me convert traffic into sales.

After initial talks with Michael issues with the website were identified and recommendations were made including navigational, visual, checkout, and data capture improvements. Smart Traffic advised that these changes were implemented before making efforts to increase the traffic to the website, which made sense. It took me a few weeks to get these technical improvements made but once implemented the buying process did seem greatly improved. I then worked with Michael on identifying keywords that would be likely to convert into sales and that also promised high monthly search volumes. I left the rest to Smart Traffic.

6 months on and the benefits are big. Traffic levels are up by nearly 6 times and my conversion rate has dramatically increased with it. I’m ranking in the top 3 for my chosen competitive key phrases which is now paying dividends on my investment with Smart Traffic. I will continue to recommend and use these guys for their expertise and impact on the search engines. Thanks Michael and team Smart Traffic, keep up the good work!

Emptied my credit card without my authorisation despite telling them not to. The only contact from [Name] at Smart Traffic was to demand more money - no delivery on the promises they made to me. No changes in any of my SEO sensitive indicators. No updates with the progression of any promised work. I am so disappointed and frustrated. As a small business ( rcmodelaircraft.com.au ) just starting out every cent is valuable. I have tried to undertake some SEO work myself but [Name] just can't commit the time it needs with all the other business demands being a one man band. To be had over like this leaves me feeling sick. They may as well have robbed me straight out of the till!

We have worked with SmartTraffic since April this year to try to gain good rankings for some highly competitive keywords. The odds were very much stacked against us as we have a relatively new website. After lots of helpful and insightful consultation with the customer service/technical teams, we formed a joint strategy to expand the visibility of our service.

Over the course of 6 months we have seen our rankings (and in turn, traffic) steadily rising to the point where we have reached our traffic targets already and are continuing to work with SmartTraffic to build our rankings for even more highly competitive 'car' related keywords.

We simply could not have asked for more from a digital marketing partner. Without a doubt, we would recommend them to anyone looking for a truly exceptional SEO team. Thank you SmartTraffic!

Have used Smart Traffic for just over a year now, initially upon sign up they were very helpful and supplying us with information and helpful tips. Then after a month this totally stopped, nothing given and website constantly performing below the promised targets.

After the contract was up and we told them we were going to cancel they suddenly became 'helpful' and forth coming with information again. As soon as we said this would not change our minds the emails and contact totally stopped.

Such a bad experience on what we were led to believe would be money well invested, instead they have taken £7000 from us with a no return.
