Extremely bad service
I am completely unsatisfied with the way this order was handled. First, an item that was flagged "in stock" (a fatboy) suddenly has a delay of more than one week. Then, the agreed delivery date is not respected, and I receive a letter from GLS that they already tried to deliver the order earlier (hence I spent a morning at home for nothing, on the wrong day). This is VERY poor service! Rest assured that I will not order with stormagasinet.dk again.

First of all, I regret to hear that you have had a bad experience with your purchase on stormagasinet.dk. Let me assure you that I understand and share your frustration. However, I also wish to assure you that
a) this is not the normal standard on our shop and
b) there is nothing much we could have done different
I Denmark, all Fatboy orders are shipped by the official distributor directly from their warehouse. Once we have relayed an order to the distributor it is pretty much “out of our hands” and we are at the mercy of the competence of the people at their warehouse and at GLS. Therefore, in this case, the result would have been the same no matter where you had bought the Fatboy.
The black Fatboy was flagged as “on stock” because this was the information we had from the distributor at the current time. When they received your order from us they informed us that the item was sold out, which is highly irregular. We immediately informed you about the delayed delivery and the expected shipping date which was Tuesday this week.
As I understand from your email your Fatboy was shipped earlier(!) than expected. We have not received any information from the distributor to confirm this, but I am sure it was done with the best intentions – to get the order delivered to you with the shortest possible delay, providing the best possible service under the given circumstances. As mentioned, unfortunately we were not informed about the new shipping date and thus had no chance to relay this information to you.
We are one of the top 3 Fatboy dealers in Denmark – not an easy position to obtain, especially if poore service was the norm. I therefore truly hope that we will get the chance to provide you with the true level of service at stormagasinet.dk sometime in the future.
