After the item wasnt sent next day (the expected email confirming postage not sent)
I called, number disconnected.
Emailed, no answer.
I saw the reviews on here and assumed I'd been ripped off.

Raised a paypal dispute.
Item was delivered next day.
No reply to dispute or other emails.

So my advise is to use paypal and if it doesnt turn up claim back the money.

I assume the owner is going through a difficult time.

It seems that this company may have ceased trading, judging by the reviews you guys are leaving

Company still takes online payments but doesn't seem to exist any more. The phone number doesn't work, emails are never reposed to and our chopping board never turned up. Do not use!!

Ordered a chopping board and conditoner for my wedding cheese, over a month ago!
Haven't received any of my goods.
Sent him number of emails and doesn't bother getting back to you and telephone number no longer works.
Do not buy anything from this website/ person he's quite happy to take your money but not send you anything to you.

I ordered a knife from the Chopping Block Company. I did not receive it. I emailed the seller and had no response. I phoned the telephone number on the web site and it was not recognised. Raising the issue via PayPal, and the consequent email to the seller, did not help in contacting them.

I did a bit of research. The person running the company I believe has another web site offering bespoke kitchens. The telephone number for this web site was also unrecognised.

The company is based in Unit 5, Knightcott Industrial Estate. I phoned the company in the unit next door. They said they had not seen Andy for months.

It looks like the company may have folded, though they still take orders and money from buyers.

Do not use this company. Took the money and never delivered the goods. They don't answer emails or the phone and now the number on the website no longer works.

I have been trying to contact the company for several months. There is no response to phone or email. I will have to source by magnetic knife holders elsewhere. This is a pity because I would like to support small British companies.

board arrived, beautifully wrapped and looking great, until I looked at the requested engraving - wrong name. I have called 3 times, left messages and followed up by email but they have not contacted me.

Please DO NOT USE this company, they have been an absolute nightmare. I wish I had seen these reviews before I placed an order for almost £300 earlier this year for 2 chopping boards and some oil. After receiving the system generated confirmation of order email, I did not hear anything again. After many weeks waiting, I sent several emails to the company and left several messages over several weeks with no reply to any. I called the business telephone number on the website a dozen times, at various different times of day but no one answered. Thankfully PayPal did get me a full refund in the end. Such a shame, as the products look good but the experience has put me off buying from small independent online companies now unless I can completely verify they actually exist. Please don't waste your time and stress on this outfit.

After reading some of the reviews on here I was worried about ordering, but as not many places make what I was looking for I risked it. Knife rack has arrived after a week and is excellent - beautiful wood, faultless quality and well packaged. This site made me worry about nothing, and I'll definitely use this company again.

I was looking for a 60th birthday present for a close family member, who is an avid chef and came across this company. After a reading the reviews I was dubious, however after a quick phone call I was guaranteed delivery and they hand made the chopping board that day. Within a few days I received the product and was over the moon!! Great service, brilliant packaging and great product. Will definitely be using them this Christmas!

Before placing an order, Andy was very helpful, answering any queries I had about my potential purchase. However, upon completion of my order, correspondence became non existent and my goods never arrived. Thankfully I have been able to claim the money back from my credit card but it has not been without huge stress and disappointment as it had been ordered for a special occasion. Do yourself a favour and go with more well known companies for such products - they might be more expensive but the customer service and quality of products is untouchable compared to The Chopping Block Company!

I ordered a chopping block four weeks ago, the funds were taken from my account and I received a confirmation of my order. I have not received the chopping block, they do not respond to calls or to emails. I am going to contact my credit card company to get the money back and also contact the fraud office. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I ordered and paid for a chopping block in July. As it was a wedding present and I wanted it delivered to another address, I decided to confirm the arrangements with the company. I have tried to contact Andy, whoever he is, on innumerable occasions by email and phone, but have had no response. This has caused considerable concern because the timing of delivery is important. I am now beginning to doubt that this is a bona fide company and am half expecting to discover that I have been the victim of a scam. I would most definitely NOT recommend the chopping block company.

Ordered a 240mm Wakui gyuto along with a custom made handle after my friend got one. Andy advised me it would take about a week to make and fit the handle and a week later it arrived!
It is such a nice knife and the handle is even better than I thought it would be.

Has this company gone bust, ordered over 2 weeks ago, they have taken my money but no product yet. Tried to call, no answer, have emailed, no reply. Do not order from this company.

Those of you who rate the Chopping Block Co highly ould you tell me when you had your order delivered.

I ordered mine 21 / 4 and despite several attempts to get in touch I have heard nothing and no delivery.

The lack of communication is worrying . Could someone tell me if this company has gone out of business ? The money for my order has been taken but no communication whatsoever.

I placed my order for a medium carving board three and a half weeks ago. Apart from the automated order confirmation email I have received nothing from the Chopping Block Company. No product, no response to phone calls or to emails. They have however taken full payment. Do not use this company.

Fabulous walnut chopping board, received extremely carefully packaged. We had engraving done on two sides, which has been beautifully executed. I was a bit worried when I used it the first time as I didn't want to damage the smoothness of the surface but I needn't have worried and after a few weeks' use, it is still as good as new. I think the board will last me out and the only problem I can see is that it might be too solid for the two kids to chop in half when we've gone! Thoroughly recommended, thank you.

I found other chopping boards for similar prices but they were much smaller than this one which turned out lovely and am really pleased with the quality and size.

I called them on a Tuesday saying I needed the chopping board to arrive by Friday and they very helpfully made sure it did. I was very impressed they could cater to my needs on such short notice especially with a personalised item.

My friend absolutely loves the chopping board and I would definitely buy another one for other friends from this company.
