Some years ago I tried very hard to …

Some years ago I tried very hard to track down this rogue company. Their sales office address in York was false. I managed to speak on the phone several times but never received refund for the useless projector. Finally, through a slip of the tongue by the person at the unknown address ( I asked about the snowy weather in York ) and discovered the commercial unit used for posting was actually just a couple of miles away from my home, near Durham. I went to the named industrial estate and found no listing for the company. I made extensive enquiries unit by unit and no one had heard of Visualtronic except in one unit .... as soon as I mentioned the company name I immediately recognised a person seemingly in charge ( a local known man with a criminal record for tax evasion, fraud and money laundering ) and suddenly his heavies appeared wanting to know why I was asking. I backed off immediately, said I was trying to return a product and apologised for bothering them. Through further enquires, I later discovered a sub-let section of one of the units on this same industrial estate, without the Visualtronic company name shown on the unit but I identified it when speaking on the door phone, a person inside confirmed what they sold but would not let me in nor come to the door to speak with me face to face. I then used my mobile phone to the same number I had used previously and the same person who answered the door phone answered my call and was surprised to hear that I was the person who he had spoken with moments before. I think he was just a young hired hand and possibly working on his own at the unit ( speculatively for a little spare cash as an unemployed person on benefits ) packing and labelling the projectors for despatch, he was clearly scared to say anything further.
The local criminal might not have been connected to this rip off importing business but the proximity of the sub-let unit raised the thought in my mind.
I gave up the chase at this point.

This company rarely has stock in, they claim to sell a variety of projectors, THEY DONT they sell one, the "Technic HD500" or whatever the owner is deciding to call it this month. The specifications are nowhere near what they state, the lumens are actually around 400lumens, and it has a fake HD port, the Scart port is also fake. This company will always state they have at least 1 in stock, so that people will pay for it so that he has money coming in "cashflow" you will very rarely get your money back, they will fob you off and say they have 30days from the day you request a refund to actually issue one, which by law is true, but this is only viable by law if they have the stock to give you, which they probably wont. They get stock in every 3/4months of around 200projectors, half of which will not even turn on. They do actually state in their terms and conditions that no money will be taken until the goods are dispatched, THIS IS A LIE, as soon as you get off the phone they will put your details in the system and take payment, do not buy any upgrades from them, you wont be buying a projector bag, you are buying a laptop bag they try and pass off as a projector bag. The bulb that you pay £40 or £60 for (again depending on how the owner is feeling that day) actually costs him around 30p, and you can buy these online from china. My advice, stay well away.

Not satisfied...

These people send you bad stuff, then when you sen it back, promise to and then don't refund and now seem to have gone missing and don't reply to messages.

I have so many supporting emails saying they would refund and they didn't

Soon to be seen on The Cook Report or Watchdog (if they're even on
anymore)

The refund swindle thing I think is mainly due to the fact that I paid with Paypal and they know if you do not lodge a complaint within 45 days, it's not valid so they drag their heels.

And filing small claims case and would welcome anyone else that would like to join me with this.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

BEWARE: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Stay away from visualtronic.co.uk & rightprojectors.co.uk (it is the same company @ same address, phones, using different names) at all costs.
I bought a projector (via rightprojectors Technics HD500 and paid it on 09.03.2011. As at today 04.04.2011 I have not received the product. the 1st week they started by telling me I will receive my order the next and this 3 times. Then they said they run out of stock and I will receive my order no longer than 18.03.2011, then 30.03.2011. I have tried to contact them since 31.03.2011 via emails & phone calls, there is no reply at all. They are not professional, they have no sense of customer service. YOU BETTER AVOID THESE GUYS!!!
I am now about to seek advise from the consumer group & citizen advice bureau

Beware...!

I ordered a projector via this website. I paid for next day delivery (it actuallly said next days delivery on the order from them) I then received the product 4 working days later which was too late for what I needed it for. When I phoned the company I was told by the Customer Service Worker that Next Day delivery was actually £15 and the £5 I had paid was for standard delivery...? I then asked how I caould send it back and get a refund and he told me it would be up to me to get it back and thus incurr £13 delivery charge. I did this and asked for a refund - I was told twice I would get one on a certain day and it never happened. Then after over a month of chasing I got a refund for the product but not the delivery! I wouldnt recommend using this business to anyone.

Non existent technical support

When we bought this unit it came with usual Chinese type instructions and we cannot get any sound out of the speaker system. It maybe that we need another lead or connection but the instructions are not clear and not comprehensive. We have emailed the company and had a request to ring [name removed ]who will try to help, but whenever we ring the number all we get is a promise to ring us back and you can guess what happens!
I wish we had never bought the unit.

Warning to avoid Visual Tronic

*** VISUAL TRONIC – Please Avoid***

This company have lied at every opportunity during my recent transaction. I ordered the Clearco HD9000 projector on 1st December with what was supposedly a next day delivery service and a promise that they don’t take any money until the order is shipped. The money was taken immediately but after numerous lies about its shipment date, the order was not received until 2 weeks later. It was not at all suitable (poor quality and very noisy) so was returned the following day.
It has taken until today (approx 10 weeks since it was returned) to get the refund.

They have lied constantly about when I will be refunded and never contacted me back when promised. It has taken much badgering and the threat of court before I received my refund.

Poor

I bought a clearco projector which is advertised as being priced at £100 off for only a very limited period. However I have noticed it has since stayed priced at this level. Although the projector arrived with no problems, my subsequent attempts at contacting the company for advice with setup etc have been very rudely igored.
