Ruined friendships over terrible travel agent - Susan Lupisella - DO NOT HIRE

Susan at WorldBound Travel has been terrible to work with. She did not have any flexibility to help ensure that my best friend had a great wedding with all of the guests he deserved. On top of being much more expensive that other destination weddings that I've attended, she clearly did not advise my friends on the negatives of the location (operating airlines, zika virus, costs, hotel stay minimums). She blames the guests and the wedding couple for all of the problems and takes no responsibility for her poor service and lack on consultation. She would not allow me and another groomsmen to consolidate down to one room, in order still be able to attend the wedding. She preferred to keep deposits, rather than just find a way to make it work for the wedding. She tried to tell us that there were only 10 zika transmissions on this island, when there were actually thousands. Everything is a mess and now friendships are ruined because of the poor service provided by Susan and the travel agency. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for travel agents.

Don't trust this company

booked and paid for 6 flights to Florida
Months in advance- days before they phoned me and changed them even expecting me to accept different dates !
In total changed my flights 7 times just days before we were due to fly out
Don't think because you have paid and have an email with your flight on it means anything - once they have your money they will tell you anything and mess you around .
Totally untrustworthy. caused me so much stress and days on the phone for them to get me my flights which in the end were a compromise on my part having no choice because they already had my money and was only days before departure -even suggested my daughter come home seperately from us the day after arriving at a different airport!
Basically they had my money but not my flights . You have been warned !

NOT TO BE TRUSTED

I booked a holiday to Malta with WorldBound Travel via Wowcher. I dealt with a person called Andrew who was very helpful in making the arrangements as regards flight and transfers to our hotel the Blue Sea San Anton and kept us informed by email. We arrived at Luton airport only to find out our baggage had not been checked in through Ryanair even though I had paid for it so had to pay £60 at the airport, our tickets were fine for outgoing flight and return flight. On arriving in Malta our transfer was waiting for us and took us to the hotel. At the hotel we were told that our hotel bill had not been paid by World Bound so we had to pay again to stay after a room was arranged for us an extra £137.00. In the middle of the week the manager of the hotel said that our airport transfer had also not been paid by World Bound Travel and we were supposed to contact the driver but the hotel had lost the message with the contact details. The hotel also informed us that they were no longer dealing with World Bound as we were not the first people to have had this done too. The hotel itself were very helpful to us in providing us with a good room and also the use of the room safe which is charged as extra. We had to make alternative arrangements for our return to the airport and again had to pay £60 for our checked baggage. I have sent emails to this company for a refund as has wowcher but so far no response from them. I have also tried phoning them but I have a disconnected tone. I feel we have been scammed. What should have been a holiday to remember turned out to be a stressful nightmare. I will in future book through a reputable travel agent. I only hope I can get my money back. Do not trust this company.

sharks - not to be trusted

Got a deal through Wowcher Voucher (return flight and 5 nights half board in Malta for £169 per person) and contacted this agent to book the October holiday. Spent 8am to 4pm between phone and email trying to confirm a booking. Why did this agency place a deal with Wowcher and seek every way not to honor it? At no time, regardless of dates for travel should I be asked to pay 'extra' for this deal (even agreeing to add one extra night, so as to fit in with available flights, was supposed to cost me £75 pp!). As 'nothing' was then available in October, Andrew offered to book us in for November at 'no extra cost'.This was ludicrous as the Wowcher deal for return flights and 5 nights half board would be £109 in November !! And reviewers say they got good service? They must have had money to burn. I have never spent such a long stressful time booking a holiday to find at the end of the conversation none is booked. Disgraceful. Avoid.

This company cancelled my flights 10 weeks before travel! DO NOT TRUST

Worldbound Travel are still trading even though they do not appear to have an ATOL licence. Do not trust this company as they have been promising me a refund for over 6 weeks and still no money. They owe me over £4000!!!!

Update - after many stressful weeks of phone calls and emails I have finally received a refund in full of £4185. Be extremely cautious about using this company and insist on seeing an ATOL certificate and your tickets before parting with any money.

Excellent customer service - very helpful.

Andrew was absolutely fabulous. It was my first time booking online and he was very patient with my what must have seemed to be foolish questions. He kept in concstant contact updating me on every step of the process and also ensured that all my queries were dealt with in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend him.

Failure to deliver a service and great difficulty getting a refund.

i booked and paid in full for a flight to Cape Town and was promised my tickets two weeks before the flight date. they didn't arrive. i telephoned their office and was promised my tickets by email within 2 days. They didn't arrive. i telephoned again and, again was lied to with a promise of my tickets by the next day. Eventually, after 4 broken promises i asked for my money, £774.00 to be refunded. The operative tried to get more money from me by offering either a refund or another ticket for which i would have to pay them more money. I reiterated that i had no trust in them and asked again for my money back. i was promised that the money would be paid into my bank within 2 days. It never arrived. I telephoned again and again was promised my money back within 2 days. i had to buy another ticket from a reputable agency to get to Cape town and by the time i left the UK i still had not received my money. Worldbound have now had my money since 10th March. I have received an email, after several emails to them requesting they refund my money and have the decency to reply to my emails, in which they claim to have sent a cheque for only £740 (£34 short of what i paid them and with no compensation for keeping my money for over a month) to my home address. Needless to say, i have no trust in what this organisation claims so i will wait until i get home, pay the cheque into my bank, wait for it to clear and wait for the rest of the balance to be paid before i am satisfied. i will then re-post the outcome here.

True to his Word [name] rang back with 5 star service

I bought a voucher from Wowcher for 3 Night Madrid Stay in a 4 star hotel on a B&B Basis, I rang the telphone number provided for Worldbound and was greated by [name].
I expland what I had and we went through the choices of flight times, I was not prepared for the full discussion when i first rang, so I asked if I could ring back in 1 hour when I could dedicate time to booking this holiday. I rang back as agreed 1 hour later and asked to speak again with [name] he was on another call and I was told that they would get him to ring me back and true to his word he rang me back, unfortunately i was busy, but [name] was persistant and continued to call me until we finally managed to speak and I was really grateful for his committment to me as the customers. We work through my requirements and [name] sent through the details asking me to check, upon checking the details and reading reviews on the hotel, I was a little discouraged by the ratings, that I rang back to see if there was an alternative hotel, [name] found an alternative hotel and also arrange a better price on the upgrade.
I have now booked my 3 days break to Madrid with the thanks to [name], he was extremely helpful and Courteous, he was extremely attentive to my requirements and persistant in his contact, he also reminded me that he was looking forward to my review which i hope he enjoys.

Wow someone in England.

I would like to thank. Justin Smith for his patient help. He took endless trouble to help me find the flight I best needed.
This is the first time I have used your company but it won't be the last.
Also Barry rang to answer my queries when Justin was busy, so thank you all round.
Kind Regards
Nicola Nissen

World Bound Travel are a diamond in the rough 5*

I am very pleased that I booked my flights to Austrailia and Newzealand with World bound travel. This is a really amazing company and comes highly recommended. After getting a bit tired of phoning round and typing in the dates and looking at different websites, I came across World Bound Travel. Barry was very friendly, polite and helpful and was quick and efficient and keen to help with finding flights that were right for me, my budget and circumstances. Barry provided a very high class level of customer service and really did go that extra mile to meet my needs. I would be very happy to book again with World bound and would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a excellent customer service and a very friendly, helpful can do approach to customers.
