This little box is nothing but quality. Build is top notch and the sound improvements to my system go far beyond its price . It’s controlled very open with tight base and lovely highs. Albums I thought were harsh now sound great without any noticeable smoothing or loss of sparkle. Dynamics are excellent and the unit is easy to set up and use. Can’t rate this item high enough. Now playing all my cd’s again all 1300 of them.

Bit of an impulse purchase at the Bristol hi fi show. I’ve started streaming using a project stream box s2 which already sounded pretty good to me either on its own or using the dac in my Cyrus pre dac, both Burr Brown I believe. Using the pre amp dac improved from the streamers own and tightened up the sound but adding the qutest has significantly improved the resolution, detail, transparency and texture of any type of music. I’m using the highest quality Spotify settings which maybe don’t do the qutest justice but I’m very pleased with the results through my Cyrus pre dac, Cyrus Stereo 200 and Piega Classic 5.0 floorstanders, excellent speakers which give me the precise and detailed sound I seek and have only improved with the new dac. I must say though that vinyl on my Roksan Radius 5 still wins but the difference is now much smaller. The qutest is excellent though and if you are after precision and layered transparency in your sound it is highly recommended.

A good improvement over my old DAC this is fed from my Melco streamer with HD quality music from Tidal. I borrowed a demo unit from AudioT for a week to make up my mind. There are plenty of others out there that are cheaper to buy, but as AudioT we’re selling this at £200 off the RRP I decided to go with it.
