My Cyrus 8 amp is now 8 years old and saw the newer Classic amp at reduced price as it's being discontinued. The newer models are not compatable with my Cyrus CD and PSX units so it made sence to buy one now. The new Classic amp is audably much better than the series 8 retaining the detail but not quite as strident. It also includes a Phono input in lieu of 2 analogue inputs.
