This modern light fitting will add a touch of style to any home, while also providing safety and security. It combines form and function by being incredibly simple to install and use. As it runs on 4 x C type batteries (not included), there is no complex wiring and no need to hire an electrician. It simply screws onto the wall with the fittings provided. Once installed, you can choose from two active modes: Fully on and Auto. Switch to Fully on mode to have the light constantly on or turn it to Auto to have the light activated by the PIR (at night only). The PIR will keep the light on for 30 seconds after the last detection. The integrated LED with mirror plate produces a bright 110lm cool white glow (6000K), so you can see clearly as you or anyone else approaches your property. The IP44 rating means it is weather resistant and fully suited to outdoor use. Available in three different finish options: Stainless steel, black or brown. It's a good light for the money. The light is reasonably well made and is very bright. It has only just gone up so longevity is only a guess but it looks good for a few years. As an experienced DIY person I found installation was simple. Two small points though. The supplied plastic plugs are a strange size so I replaced them with 7mm diameter plugs. The other is that the LEDs are not protected from the weather. That might not matter in practice but it was a suprise when it was unboxed.

Just what we needed for a north-facing porch where solar lights won’t work. We didn’t want to get an electrician in, and don’t like leaving our outside light on, so this was an ideal alternative to be able to find the keyhole when returning home after dark. The product is a bit bulky, more so than I’d expected, meaning it and sticks out from the wall a bit too far, but because of this we placed it a little higher up - the sensor still works, the light is sufficiently bright to be able to see, and I’m not hitting my head, so it’s OK.
