Black Tie Dallas Movers was one of the best decisions that I have. They were very polite and very hard-working people that I have ever worked with. They had two 26’ box trailers that were packed full and moved in one day. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing to be out in a hurry. Thank you very much guys you did me a great job.

I would like to file a formal complaint against Cody and the moving team for my recent service. Cody underestimated me for weight and cost, I suspect to just get my business to turn around and upcharge for everything. The underestimation for weight was grossly shy of what I needed to have moved. The packing team did not fully pack me, they did not arrive with the necessary packing materials, took over 12 hrs in total over two days to pack me and load the truck. Two of my companies upper management came to my rescue along with the owners wife so that I could get out in a timely manner but I was still late. I even had packing materials on hand that did not get used including a tv box and packing blankets. I suspect that they did not use them just so they could charge me an exorbitant amount. I am thoroughly dissatisfied with Cody actions and attitude toward trying to find me a solution to my underweight problem. He offered nothing and blamed me. He should have erred on the side of caution and quoted me for two trucks or recommend a van line. Now Cody is saying that it was all my fault, that I did not ask for packing services when I definitely did because I have broken my back a few times and cant bend too much or lift a lot.

From the very beginning, I knew I was in good hands with Black Tie Moving. From my first phone call until the last piece of furniture was carefully wrapped and delivered, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.
The movers arrived on time, came ready to work, and handled everything with care. They brought all the necessary supplies, so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Their attention to detail and positive attitude made the entire moving process smooth and stress-free.

Black Tie did a great job, and took care of everything! From the first contact to having our move completed, they thought ahead, came prepared, and were careful with our belongings, AND the homes.

My Black Tie Moving Company experience was 5 Star. It started with the movers. Professional kindness and courtesy upon arrival set the stage. Then they went to work and all concerns I had went away. They were so careful with my property. And the 'Team' work between them throughout my move was admirable. I knew myself and my property was their priority for the day!

I am giving two stars because the movers were very friendly and respectful. The reason for only giving two stars is because of the amount of damages that accured. A lot of furniture was not wrapped and was packed high and tight in the truck. There is obviously not much training on handling other peoples belongings. Even though the claim process was easy the amount of damages was well beyond an acceptible level. If you have nice furnishings it would be well worth the money to hire professional movers that will properly handle your property.

So many issues and phone calls and not one person has ever called me back regarding those issues. Skyler at the Dublin office was supposed to call me back the next day but has not called me back. I was quoted for a full pack and move and we backed 90% of it and was still charged the same amount. One of the movers that was loading test drove the supervisors car in my parking lot for 20 minutes because he never drove stick before. I had this conversation with the guy. Horrible service and definitely not a high end moving experience. I would never recommend them to anyone I know or says they are moving just based on the customer service and communication I had with them. Worst Service Ever.

My experience with Black Tie Moving was incredibly frustrating because the actual movers themselves were some of the best I’ve ever had, yet the pricing experience completely overshadowed what otherwise would have been an outstanding move.

The moving crew deserves five stars. They were quick, efficient, professional, and extremely careful with my belongings. They worked hard throughout the move, treated my items with great care, and were consistently courteous and respectful. I genuinely could not have asked for a better crew.

Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ends.

The final cost of my move was more than $2,000 higher than the original quote and significantly above what I would consider normal market pricing for a comparable move. A discrepancy of that magnitude is not a minor estimating error—it fundamentally changes the economics of choosing a moving company.

The cost of packing materials was another major disappointment. The markup on materials supplied by Black Tie was, in my opinion, prohibitive. Had I understood beforehand what I would ultimately be charged, I would have purchased virtually all of the boxes, wrap, tape, and other packing materials myself.

My advice to anyone considering Black Tie Moving: get firm, detailed pricing in writing before your move. Ask specifically what can cause the quoted price to increase, request the exact prices for packing materials, and purchase as much of those materials yourself as possible.

It is unfortunate because Black Tie has excellent movers. The crew made me want to recommend the company; the pricing made me unable to do so. No matter how good the moving team is, receiving a final bill more than $2,000 above the original quote leaves you feeling blindsided.

Excellent movers. Excellent service from the crew. But based on my experience with the pricing and the enormous difference between the quote and final bill, I cannot recommend Black Tie Moving without significant caution.

I am giving 5 stars only to the team that carefully packed my home and the same team delivered everything as promised. They were efficient, friendly and did a great job.
Unfortunately as part of this review, I have to write that their truck leaked during a rain storm, damaging an entire box of very expensive quilting fabric. I have photos showing the soggy packing boxes before they were unloaded. This is unacceptable and I am no stranger to moving (8 times) and this has never happened before. The team was horrified that my boxes were soaking wet.This problem needs to be fixed immediately.
