I love my bike BUT I think that such cheap cheap cheap parts as the handle grips in an high quality bike should not exist

I bought the c-line 12-speed for vacations, partly so I could take it on a plane. Otherwise, I mainly ride an e-trekking bike. Switching to the Brompton for a while does take some getting used to. During a test ride, the Brompton c-line struck me as solid and reliable. I was able to handle forest trails—even those , I haven’t ridden longer distances of this and don’t plan to do so on vacation. The brakes work very well, and the shifting is easy to learn with a little practice. Climbing hills on asphalt is manageable, but of course, for someone who usually rides only e-bikes, it’s a pretty athletic challenge.
It's an astonishing bike that offers far more possibilities than my older 6-gear Brompton. I can highly recommend it.
Best foldable ever. After 10 years with an older model, I chose to stick to Brompton, just adding more gears!
Easy to operate and comfortable to ride. High quality and cool design. It’s still made in Europe and you can see the handmade quality mark on it. Made my life so much easier allowing me to commute to work on a train. Great purchase.
A Legend, great lifetime quality
Good built quality, amazing enginery but quite expensive
This is already the second bike where the hub gear doesn't work.
Build quality is superb. The weight and folded size are perfect. Center of gravity is very high. Creates an unstable feeling when riding. Love the bike, but this has me looking at replacing it. But, it's almost impossible to beat the weight and folder size.
Best purchase ever
Really love it so far! Once you watch a video about how to fold and unfold, it really does come like second nature. I like how you can just pick it up (even unfolded) and maneuver through doors. It's also super tiny once folded, easily sits in the boot of my car - primary reason why i bought it, to have a bike on me without making it a big transportation deal. and the color is amazing! (flamingo pink)
I recently received a brand-new Brompton bicycle, ordered through an official dealer via the brand’s website. Technically, the bike was fully functional, the assembly was neat, and packaging was intact. However, after registering it, I removed the sticker from the frame — and discovered noticeable scuff marks underneath, directly on the lacquered paint. I contacted Brompton support, and they directed me to the dealer. The dealer confirmed that this was a warranty case and created a claim for a frame replacement. The replacement itself was free of charge, but I had to pay €25 just to initiate the warranty process (receipt code No. 01-25-00526). The estimated wait time for the new frame was around a month. However, I started to feel uneasy about the idea of dismantling a factory-assembled bike just to change the frame. So instead, I visited an automotive detailing service. They polished the affected part of the frame — free of charge — since it had a lacquer finish.
The 12 speeds are great, the bike is light and you can ride fast without getting tired. But I have the impression that the paint is very fragile
A great Bike for people using bus and train Great for people living in the coty
Good choice!
Rides awesome and needs less time to adoption to the smaller wheels than i anticipated. Gear Range is well set for casual riding, despite it's more on the longer side and once in a while a slower gear is missing. Every detail seems well thought of.
The folding bike itself is excellent, the 12-speed gear system opens up new usage scenarios (even if there is more overlap between the individual gears than the Brompton diagram suggests). I ordered the bike directly from Brompton via click & collect. What I don't like is the delivery condition. Both tyres on the front and rear wheels were badly fitted and are out of balance, which the bike shop now has to correct (at whose expense?). This should have been noticed during a final inspection before delivery, especially in view of the quality standards that Brompton advertises.
