It Was a great experience! The guys were so good and careful with all of our gear. Judson, Hans, and Ibrahim were super and took pride in getting all of our stuff over to our new home safely. Our coordinator, Chioma, was extremely professional and helpful through the process and Joy was a super lady to speak with in the beginning!

We had a great experience with Burly Boyz from the first phone call with Connor and with Mikayeel our moving coordinator. They answered all questions and concerns promptly and professionaly. Come moving day the guys on the truck Lamine and Blayze were excellent and did an amazing job on the load and unload they were both very polite and respectful with our belongings. I would definitely recommend Burly Boyz

Burly Boyz made the move from Cochrane to Edmonton smooth and low stress. The movers handled our household goods with great care, everything arrived undamaged. Our move coordinator (Mikayeel) kept us informed throughout the process and we are very pleased with the experience. We'll be using Burly Boys for our next move.

Extremely disappointing experience with Burley Boyz Moving.
We were promised an 8:30 a.m. arrival, but the crew didn't arrive until 12:30 p.m. and didn't begin moving anything until 1:20 p.m.—nearly 6 hours late. We had confirmed the day before that they would be on time, despite the company apparently already knowing they had been delayed overnight in Kelowna.
The move-out from our townhome alone took 6 hours with 4 movers. Previous moving companies completed the same job in approximately 3 hours with only 3 movers. The entire move ultimately took 9 hours.
To make matters worse, Burley Boyz increased the quoted price just 3 days before the move, after initially providing a much lower estimate (Initial quote $2194.66, second updated quote 3 days before move $2555.33, invoice received $2589.60).
I was also charged 1.75 hours of travel time, even though the movers were already passing by my home on the main highway and the actual drive from the highway exit to my house was only 12 minutes (2.1kms distance).
The delays (which were known by the movers prior to my move but never told to me, infact I was texted less than 24hrs before the move and told that everything was on schedual when clearly it was not and they knew this already) caused me to incur over $2,300 in additional fees and penalties.
Burley Boyz initially offered a $250 refund, later increased the offer to $400. The $400 refund simply reduces the bill to the initial quote price.
After giving the company multiple opportunities to resolve the situation fairly, I contacted my credit card issuer. After reviewing the documentation and communications, they approved a chargeback for the full amount, as they determined the services provided did not match the contracted terms. My legal team is also reviewing the matter for deceptive business practices and is filing complaints with Consumer Protection BC, the Better Business Bureau, and the Canadian Association of Movers.
The only positive aspect of the experience was the lead driver/mover. He was professional, hardworking, and genuinely tried to make the best of a difficult situation. Unfortunately, his efforts were overshadowed by the company's overall conduct.
Based on my experience, I would not only not recommend Burley Boyz Moving I would suggest you would receive better service for nearly any other moving company out there.
After revieweing BBB, reviews here and other places it has become abundantly clear this company is run like a clown show. I booked my move months before the move date to ensure things went smooth and all that I was left with was some banged up walls in my new home, and out $2300 because of the sheet incompitence that is Burley Boys Moving. The guy on the phone will say whatever is needed to sell the service but what he says is nothing short of a scam.
They DID provide a 4th body for the move, however the individual they provided moved at what can only be described as a snails pace. He was moving so slowly that both my wife and I began to become worried that he may be ill or injured. For every trip he made to the truck to get a single box the other 3 made 3-4 trips.
They attempted to say that this was a curtisy to us for arriving hours late to our move after confirming less than 24hr before the move that things were on time however the move INTO the home they moved us out of took another 3 man team 6hrs TOTAL to collect from a storgae locker and 2 homes to move into one home with far more contents.
Bottom line is, this company is beyond irresponsible with planning on consideration for peoples time or money. Their lack of planning and communication cost me over $2300 and their offer was a mover who they charge hourly for that simply could not do the job and a $400 refund. And this is why I have been told by CAM that they will be investigating this company. It seems they have countless identical claims from others as well.
The CVSE has also been involved as after the move the truck they used was broken down and left infront of my home for 2 days.
DO NOT do business with these people, they are nothing more than kids with a truck that have no respect for time or communication.

Worst company ive ever hired. Total amateurs posing as professionals. I had 19 pieces to move 5 mins down the road. No packing, no boxes, just furniture. They broke 2 pieces, 2 pieces fell apart in transit and another is missing parts. Tried to blame us for "being in a hurry" when we didnt rush them once. We bought an hr and 20 mins more than we needed. Couldnt get a couch through our doorway, so my elderly father and myself did it in under 3 mins. Movers were impossible to communicate with due to language barrier. "Dispatch" postponed the day i originally agreed to and did not attempt to resolve my complaints after the move. Movers demanded payment halfway through job. They've obviously been refused payment before.

I really wanted to like this company as they did a move for me in 2024 that was amazing.
Something has happened to this company in 2026 and I would strongly recommend not using them.
SM who was my first contact ultimately had no customer service skills, unprofessional behaviour and is honestly a disgrace. She comes across as empathetic and supportive but so is a fox in sheep’s clothing.
Hussain, the relocation specialist assigned tried but ultimately useless and clueless.
This company pulled the rug out 6 days before a CONFIRMED date and time for a move. No communication to even receive consent for this change. Promises, promises and all of it smoke and mirrors. They are not actually a serious company.
I would recommend to anyone considering this company to do your diligence and either go with a reputable large company or hire Joe Blow from Kijiji. Either would be more reliable the Burly Boyz.
What a sh.t show of a company.

Not happy with administration… appraisal quotes are suspiciously low and once we paid the $500 deposit they came in with a new weight appraisal, thousands over the original price. Note the new quote was given within days of moving, too late to look for an alternative company.
Other agreements as to not combine our truck with another household were not honoured leaving with furniture they couldn’t fit in the truck and us travelling the 1,000 plus miles at our own cost renting a UHaul to get the last of our items.
Good luck trying to get hold of this company if you have issues-unresponsive & don’t care.

In response to your reply…which is now addressed OVER 3 months later speaks to the standard or lack of, this company has.
I will correct you- it was not “the quote we expected”; it was the quote we were actually given. We subsequently had to pay thousands of dollars more than the original quoted amount, with absolutely no compensation, explanation, or meaningful accountability from your company.
This is extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable. The way this matter has been handled, from the significant increase in cost to the prolonged delay in responding, has fallen far below any reasonable standard of customer service. We have been left significantly out of pocket, yet your response appears to offer neither responsibility nor any recognition of the impact this has had on us.

Left pocket dog shit company. Communications is none.
These movers are inept, unethical and take no responsibility for anything. When you try to contact them to get answers about the damage to your property and lost items, they will ignore you. When someone does get back to you, it will be to blame you for not buying extra insurance. Then when you point out their negligence and breach of contract, they will tell you that you should expect stuff to be damaged in a long distance move and actually you should be grateful more of your stuff was not destroyed. THEY ARE THE LOWEST, SLEAZIEST OPERATORS IN AN INDUSTRY THAT DESPERATELY NEEDS MORE REGULATION.

Terrible company to deal with. If I could leave zero stars I would.
Your movers showed up 2 hours late for our move and didn’t call to let us know - we had to finally contact your office to find out what was going on. When the miserable woman working in the Edmonton office called us back she said she was giving us a heads up that the movers were late. Nope! We have you the heads up that they were late and we shouldn’t have had to call you about it. That should have been the first clue that dealing with her would be a nightmare.
The woman in office is beyond rude (she hung up on me not once, not twice, BUT THREE TIMES while trying to sort out the massive discrepancy in the “reliable and upfront” quote to actual invoice amount instead of sorting a problem out). I cannot explain to you how absolutely disrespectful and inappropriate that is. She has absolutely no business having the job she has. Just awful.
Your website also brags about how you’re doing things differently than other moving companies and changing the stereotype - from my experience, you’re worse than the stereotype and should really be ashamed of yourselves.
Your website goes further to say that your core values are:
Respect - not sure how hanging up on your customers is respectful? Or charging a customers credit card without permission is respectful? Seems pretty fraudulent to me.
Accountability - instead of owning up to the fact that your movers were late and making up for the terrible quote to actual time taken you just denied, denied, denied any responsibility and charged our credit card without our permission.
Perseverance - I guess you persevered - took your movers twice as long to get the job done than we were quoted, and that’s after a detailed call about what we had to move AND a video you insisted on of our house with all contents.
Dependability - being 2 hours late with no call to let us know is certainly not dependable.
Overall just completely disgusted with this company and wouldn’t recommend you to my worst enemy. I’ve also since spoken to friends who had the unfortunate experience of using you, too. They’re also beyond frustrated with their experience with you. Wish I’d spoken to them sooner!
