I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with Car Planet has been extremely disappointing.
I purchased a 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class for approximately £18,000, expecting a vehicle of good quality from a dealership. Unfortunately, within a short period of ownership I began experiencing multiple issues, including:
• Intermittent air conditioning not working correctly.
• Squeaking/noise when braking and accelerating.
• Faulty parking sensors.
• TPMS warning light.
• Stop-start system not functioning correctly.
I reported these faults promptly and expected them to be dealt with professionally. Instead, I found myself being passed between the dealership, warranty provider and repair garage. There were delays over diagnostic costs, poor communication and a lack of ownership of the issues.
My vehicle has now been off the road for around a month in total whilst repairs are being investigated and carried out. During this time I have continued making my monthly finance payments despite not having use of the vehicle, and I have not been provided with a courtesy car. The most frustrating part has been the lack of communication. I have had to chase the dealership repeatedly for updates, often without receiving any meaningful information.
I have also raised concerns regarding how the warranty, service plan and additional products were presented during the sales process, and this matter is now the subject of a formal complaint with my finance company for investigation.
That said, I do want to recognise one member of staff who genuinely stood out.
Ziyad Joyran has been the only person who has consistently tried to help. He has listened to my concerns, kept in contact where possible and has gone out of his way to ensure my vehicle issues are being addressed to the best possible standard. This review is not a reflection of his efforts. In fact, if it were based solely on my interactions with Ziyad, it would be far more positive.
My disappointment lies with the overall customer service, communication and the way my case has been handled as a whole. I genuinely hope Car Planet uses this feedback to improve its after-sales service so that other customers do not have a similar experience.
The sales rep I met (Adil) was very good. He arranged for the test drive, went through the specs of the value, and confirmed the vehicle history.
Adil was not pushy with trying to offer me finance or warranty cover. He understood my requirements and respected them.
The only let down occurred after I had purchased the vehicle. The wait to finalise the paperwork was extremely long, hours in fact. I was one of many who were waiting around frustrated to receive the documentation and vehicle keys.
They didn't clean and valet the vehicle and the volume knob which was missing was not replaced either. However, I was assured I could return and receive a complimentary clean and valet, and the missing volume knob would be ordered and posted to me.
Overall, it was a decent experience and I would certainly recommend them, just bring food as the aftersales experience is extremely long.
If I could give it zero star I would. We bought a car that broke down 10 minutes after purchase. Thankfully we left it at the showroom because if we got it home it would have been a nightmare getting the money back off them. It took a month and many calls and emails to get our money back. The after sales service is shocking when you ring you have to wait over an hour to get to speak to any one. They took all our service history for our car which they lost.
With is a huge inconvenience to us but they don't care. All in all I would say avoid at any cost as it is so stressful in dealing with them
My number was blocked they do not care about customer service. My only comment I would say is I don't know how they sleep at night as I want them to think how they would feel if it was a relative that they have done the same thing to
Shame on them
First class sales and service from call to sale to delivery
Very helpful and supportive team. They were friendly, professional, and made the whole process straightforward. Thank you! 👏
The receptionist was nice & although I hadn't booked an appointment once alloted one everything was so slow. Their cars are parked in multi storey type car park in no specific order it took ages for a car to be brought down for a test drive. I did suggest that wouldn't it be easier to store them by manufactors name.I arrived next day to collect car at 11am after receiving a call at 9.35 to say it was ready, receptionist took us through to waiting area, still waiting at 11.45, had to ask someone for attention. I asked 3 people for 1 thing to be placed in the car from a cheaper version and was completely ignored, no goodwill. Also all transaction have to be made using mobile banking made it difficult when you don't have that facility. Have to say of both visit we both left feeling very drained.
I sold my 2023 BMW 1 Series M Sport through Carwow after accepting Car Planet's winning bid.
The experience was disappointing from the outset. I was promised a call or text confirming the inspection time, but nothing arrived despite me chasing several times.
During the inspection, the assessor claimed my 3-cylinder engine was shaking excessively, misfiring and "didn't sound right", before attempting to reduce the agreed purchase price by £1,500.
I completely disagreed. The car had been inspected and serviced by BMW less than two weeks earlier, with no concerns raised, and I subsequently sold it directly to BMW for virtually the same value originally agreed.
Afterwards, I found another recent Trustpilot review describing an almost identical experience involving claims about the normal characteristics of a 3-cylinder engine being used to justify a large price reduction. While I can't say whether the cases are connected, the similarities were concerning enough for me to raise a formal complaint with both Car Planet and Carwow.
Based on my experience, I would advise anyone selling a vehicle to Car Planet to be cautious and, if possible, obtain an independent valuation beforehand.
Excellent customer service from Mo. Highly recommended for him. He is so kind and very helpful. Fully deserved 5 stars for his exceptional performance. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The sale was good but could have been better. Transparency and focus was missing. Once the deal was done, not much importance was given to closed customer. During hand over things were rushed and not delivered with grace.
The car hire itself was straightforward. I was overcharged by £250 in June. IT is now the end of July and I am still waiting for a reply. So I am giving them a 1 star waiting as customer service is appalling. They said they would get back to me and I have made several request.

Car planet will bend over backwards during the sale process but as soon as you leave that forecourt the friendly, helpful service is no more. I was advised to return for a service which they couldn't carry out prior to me leaving and the car also had a faulty sensor which they said they would replace. A week after i noticed issues with the handbrake and the car shaking when driving at speed but despite numerous attempts to resolve nearly 4 months on and i am still waiting to get a date to have these problems resolved. Each time i phone i am advised someone will be in touch but nothing. Emails sent to customer service never get a response either

This is second time am writing but everyone should know that if you write your review and go to them, they make sure to answer your query but make u wait like hell on purpose to make you pay for your review. And after certain time they stop answering your call and ignore your email. Pathetic experience every single time. No accountability for anything.

Would not recommend this company. After sales is shocking, yes sale team are fantastic but they have to be they want you to buy the car. They have been in the newspaper for very poor service and I wished I had read the reviews before buying my car.. Please avoid

The car looked exactly as advertised and was in excellent condition. The process was very smooth: we arrived at 10.30am and drove away with the car at 1.30pm.
Very good customer service from Olivier.

Awful customer care Barnet branch
Poor organisation by the company. Does not seem like they have an on site manager keeping the reps in check. Kacper handled our second hand sale, was nice enough on the day but after booking the organisation dropped off. No confirmation of deposit, no confirmation or booking time for collection of vehicle. Was told to come in few days later to collect. Got here and had to wait over an hour as no one had an idea what was going on. I had to walk into the sales office and kick up a fuss to be seen. Kacper had apparently booked car in for a view not collection. Once here no one was apologetic or in a hurry. One lovely rep think name Lenora sorted us. We have a 12 week old baby and had to sit there with him.
Receptionist on 23/07 needs sacking also, rude and dismissive.
Awful company. Don’t buy from here.
Overall, good experience. However, the first consultant was not able to help us with our enquiry. Having a clean car for viewing would have helped to see the scratches. Once agreed on the sale, everything was smooth and efficient.
Kacper started out very well but later on he failed to answer basic questions about the car's maintenance and service done. When I paid in full for the car and declined his offers on more warranty and 'extras'he seemed disinterested in speaking any longer and left me sitting there for a long time. He didn't explain where he went just left. Then he returned and told me to go on and wait on the sofa for the post sales process. Not a single thank you or handshake or anything. He was just in a rush to move on. Then the kind Iranian lady managing post sales revealed all the paperwork of the services done to the car. Kacper should have been able to provide this during the sales process but he failed. I left happy with my car but the initial service and sales experience was disappointing. I won't be returning to buy our second car.
Bought a car from Watford branch about 5weeks ago now. Car was fine for first week, then all a sudden kept on jerking as u accelerate, was a hybrid. Was doing it more often.so got it booked in to their garage in Enfield.they eventually found the issue on 2nd time of taking it there. Was fuel related. They worked on it on 17/7/26.i waited for 2 and half hours. Was told it’s all been fixed.oh it might smell abit of fuel. No kidding! It absolutely reeked of it. I drove it back home with windows down, but was still very bad. For 4 days me and my mrs have experienced extremely bad headaches, nausea, and to top it all off we’ve found another fault which obviously was done by a poor mechanic, now the Car range never goes down. Always says full tank. Was fine before we let them fix the car. We rung them 2 days ago. To be told only availability to sort it is 5th August. So they expect us to drive around not knowing how much fuel is in the tank. Very poor .this problem needs to rectified ASAP! This is your fault, due to an incompetent guy in your garage !! I’ve been to the hospital too due to my headaches. Sent emails again ignored now for 48hours. This whole thing has totally ruined the experience with car planet.
