Hurricane bars teamed with Hurricane chain is the only combination for me over years of track clearing and firewood cutting. I don't get as much quick wear from dirty wood or hitting the ground but they will chip if you hit too many rocks. I would rather grind the occasional chips than replace badly worn bars.

There is a lot to be said for running a matched Hurricane bar and chain setup—the drive links and bar groove are designed to mate perfectly, which dramatically reduces friction and uneven rail wear. It’s awesome to hear this combo has proven itself as a reliable workhorse for you over the years.
