I use this for teaching students how to sharpen chains. It works well, solid and easy to use for demonstration purposes.

The clamping could be better, maybe just having one centrally mounted lever applying even pressure to the bar instead of two which tends to leave the middle section lose? Maybe even reducing the length of the bar, which would also assist when sharpening shorter chains. In its current configuration it can be fiddly getting the bar clamped enough for it hold the chain firmly. Being able to sharpen chains off the saw is good and this tool facilitates that, but it's not perfect.

what I needed,can be hard to tighten enough to hold chain still
Great company to deal with. Fast delivery.
It is longer than the older Stihl one I had, and much prefer this one overall. This holds the chains better, easy to adjust to tighten or loosen, and had no issues with it. Seems strong and durable.
This tool a great tool! The straight bar gives good viewing of depth/raker. On reading a review I was hesitant. I would buy again.
It’s ok for 16” chains or longer but too large for 14” chain. Works fine with standard 3/8 chain nut didn’t seem to grip the 3/8 LP chain guide securely. Overall though it’s a useful filing jig to have.
Great product
A good tool which I have been looking for about two years as they used to be manufactured by Oregon saw chain company but are no longer available by them. After much searching I for only two suppliers that's yourself and another Australian company but they do not ship overseas, A good tool just what I needed.
Great for sharpening spare chains off the saw.
A great way to really sharpen your chain as it holds the chain firm and steady so you get the best result and at a great price too.

A good alternative to using an old chainsaw bar for sharpening the chain. I found the groove a little tight with my chain, but after a bit of use and pulling the chain back & forth in the groove a few times it loosened up. The clamps keep the chain upright so you can get a good even sharpen with a file. Highly recommended if you sharpen at home.

Brought 2 - tried 2 chains of differing sizes in each. The first bar would not accept either chain - groove seemed too closed - even before I assembled it. The 2nd works really well and makes sharpening easier. I did respond to an email about getting a replacement bar but not a single response.
