We had a wonderful time and the mix of walking/hiking and culture experiences didn’t disappoint. Our guide was good and we have to give him lots of credit as it was his first tour. We did think the group was a bit understaffed as typically there is a driver and guide and it was hard for our guide to do both.

It was good to have a variety of things to do because with one guide, time constraints and people of different physical capabilities, hiking was modest. I've said before, I wish Classic Journeys and other tour groups would mostly eliminate tipping.

We rented a pair of snow pants at a good price for my husband to wear while hiking the glacier. It was wonderful to not have to buy expensive outerwear that we may never need to wear again and didn't have to schlep home.

Memorable experiences (hiking a glacier, snorkeling a continental rift, boating a glacial lake) as well as an exceptional guide. Loved the Skalakot Manor hotel! What a beautiful and friendly country.
