Perfect vacation
Sicily is a different place. It is a combination of old and new. I am glad I had the experience of seeing Sicily. The hotels were great! Most of the food was very good. I loved the Valley of the Temples as well as some of the other experiences. I've seen Sicily, and now I can move on to visiting other places.
This is the first organized tour I’ve taken in 25+ years of international travel and I was not disappointed. The hotels were excellent, the choice of attractions impeccable, and the guides outstanding. The tour group was 13, which proved to be very manageable, and we all got together very well. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for an active, interesting trip.
We have been to Italy many times and had great experiences but the week in Sicily with Classic Journeys was wonderful & unique and should not be missed. The itinerary is very well balanced and absolutely fascinating. I'm embarrassed to say that we had no idea how beautiful & verdant Sicily would be so that was a wonderful surprise. And then add in interesting geology, the 3,000+ years of human history & incredible food & wine and you have the ingredients for a fabulous trip. However, the real key to it all was our guide, Ulisse. He was truly SUPERB. Can't say enough good things really!
A most excellent adventure. An active trip that took us all over Sicily accompanied by knowledgeable guides. From the cooking school, to Greek temples, to beautiful Taormina, everyday was wonderful as was the food and wine.
