The cruise was good enjoyed the ports of call. I do have a matter that has me and the wife upset. This was my 31st cruise with a total of 181 nights at sea. I mostly book my own cruises on the Carnival site with ease and can be fun as well doing the search. We decided to try cruise direct for the first time and for the most part, things went well. Here is the reason we have decided to book our own cruises going forward. We never get the call from the upgrade department for a chance to make for a better cruise experience.How come Cruise direct does NOT reaching out to us for those upgrades, with the handful of cruises booked with Cruise Direct and NOT 1 call. I find that so hard to believe not a single call for an upgrade or Cruise Direct chooses NOT to take care of the customer. This to me is part of the cruise adventure and fun. We booked a Spain to FL cruise for next week and guess who called us with some information. Upgrade department called and we was able to go from a cheap inner cabin ( same cheap inner cabins booked with Cruise Direct) to an aft balcony. FYI, they had about 5 offers for upgrades they reviewed. Take 4 plus cruise in the past 2 months with Cruise Direct and NOT a single offer! The price could have dropped and I don't feel Cruise Direct would have reached out to the customer for any information for those upcoming cruise. Very Bitter Customer
