Our first Princess cruise, and we really enjoyed it. A lovely, traditional ship which although it is showing its age in some parts, still has a special feel to it. The food was excellent. We dined mainly in the Vivaldi and enjoyed the atmosphere and superb service. The buffet is relatively small compared to newer ships we have cruised on, but there was still a good selection of dishes. We tried Kai Sushi and thoroughly enjoyed our meals there. The bar areas never felt crowded and it was always easy to find a seat, even when there was entertainment on. The Princess Plus package is great value and the drinks options were extensive. The theatre filled up quickly, so if you want to catch the shows, you should get there in good time. The cabin was well appointed and very comfortable, although the bathroom is a little tired looking. In most ports, it was pretty easy to make your own way to visit the sights and there was always someone from the local tourist office on hand to help. Overall, an excellent first experience with Princess. We are looking forward to cruising with the company again.
