Christmas dinner and midnight market was great. Otherwise dinner course quality average compared to other cruises. Service was in many ways lacking with some unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Return immigration procedure very poorly communicated and causes confusion. Would recommend a different cruise to go around Japan

Thank you MSC for the great experience overall. Thank you Cruisedirect.com booking was very smooth. Cruise staff were very organised and helpful and the atmosphere was family-friendly. We enjoyed the wide variety of areas, activities and shows. The cabins were clean and well maintained. thermal Aurea SPA area was excellent. Food experience 4 out of 5. Outstanding staff and fun atmosphere with staff and guests dancing during dinner in the main restaurant. The buffet always had something tasty to eat. Areas for improvement: • very Noticeable engine vibrations in the Lighthouse Restaurant, sometimes not comfortable at all, for the dining area it’s very bad • The variety of meats and main courses in the buffet could be expanded. • Create a less commercial atmosphere by making advertising and upselling of services feel more natural and integrated — for example, consider including some offerings in the cruise cost, especially for the Aurea experience. • Beverage prices are too high
TheMSC boarding and disembarkation arrangements were a disaster. We waited for two hours in rainy and cold Tokyo before we boarded the ship. It was terrible and hateful. Our friends were all sick.
Food is lovely. Daily program is awesome. Workers are all friendly.
