The Joy is a beautiful ship. All the staff we encountered were lovely and we had a great time. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the food- more specifically the temperature of it. A lot of the cafe food was cold and even a burger in the Local. Taste was ok. Not great and there was a lot of the same food daily. So a bit more variety would’ve been nice. Overall I’d still say this is a great ship.
Overall, we had a nice time aboard the Norwegian Joy. However, our experience started on a challenging note when we were initially assigned to a room that unfortunately had a bedbug infestation. I ended up with 21 bites, which prompted us to request a room change. The staff was responsive and moved us to a different same category room on the fourth day of our stay, after which we encountered no further issues. In terms of itinerary, we found it to be enjoyable, with a well-curated selection of ports and activities. However, the entertainment on the ship did not quite measure up to what we have previously experienced on other cruises—it felt less engaging and varied than in the past. On a positive note, the food was outstanding, with a diverse range of delicious options that truly enhanced our dining experiences on board.
