We didn't get the model we booked, but I don't remember getting the exact car I booked at any rental company.

I madI strongly advise against booking with Ecovia / Autovia, especially at the Bologna Airport location.e a prepaid booking online and…
I made a prepaid booking online and paid € 196.44 in advance. I arrived at the desk exactly on time on March 28th, 2026, ready to pick up my car. However, the staff refused to hand over the vehicle because I only had a debit card, not a physical credit card.
While I understand they have this written in their terms and conditions, their subsequent actions are completely abusive. Because of this technicality, they labeled me as a "No-Show" (despite me standing right in front of them) and kept 100% of my prepaid money. They provided absolutely zero service, kept my € 196, and undoubtedly rented the same car to someone else that day.
Charging a 100% cancellation fee for a service that was not rendered, without the company suffering any real financial loss, is a disproportionate and unfair penalty. While I was at the desk, I saw another customer going through the exact same nightmare.
