This award speaks to EVERYTHING I was looking for when I was seeking an award in honor of my godbrother, the late Tommy Ford. He was more than an actor & producer, but a community activist, a philanthropist, an organizer, youth motivator for communities all over the country and so much more. So with his many qualities I wanted to make sure the recipients of this distinguished award saw a award that represented what he stood for. The Sapphire is his birth stone, the tall man lifting it to the heavens, because he was a man of faith and he believe giving God all praise in EVERYTHING, and then the solid crystal represents Christ solid rock and foundation that Tommy stood for and on.
