Expat Abogados in Moraira (formerly Bertomeu Abogados) and Dénia is a Spanish law firm specialised in property purchases and sales and taxes in Spain for foreign non-residents. Founded by Juan Antonio Bertomeu Vallés in Moraira (Calle del Dr. Calatayud, 39, planta baja, 03724 Moraira, Alicante), the firm grew when his son Daniel Bertomeu Quiles joined and together they opened our Dénia office (C/ de Ramón y Cajal, 5, E, 03700 Dénia, Alicante). We work daily with buyers and owners from the UK, USA, Germany and across Europe. Service in English and German (Spanish and French support if needed). Juan Bertomeu is an abogado (Spanish lawyer) admitted to the Alicante Bar Association (ICALI), bar number 4643. We guide clients through buying and selling property in Spain with clear steps and no drama: thorough due diligence, contract review, deposits and completion, Land Registry filings, and Power of Attorney so you can sign from abroad. For owners and investors we also handle the tax side, end-to-end: Non-Resident Income Tax (IRNR), capital gains tax, plusvalía municipal, Wealth Tax, and purchase taxes (ITP, AJD, VAT/IVA). We plan Spanish tax residency, apply double-tax treaty relief where it helps, and advise clients who qualify for the Beckham Law. If you’re searching for an English-speaking Spanish property lawyer or a tax lawyer in Spain—especially in the Costa Blanca, Moraira or Dénia—expect straight answers, quick replies and transparent fees. Together with his father, Daniel Bertomeu runs a YouTube channel for foreign buyers and homeowners, breaking down Spanish property taxes and compliance in plain language—plusvalía municipal, capital gains tax in Spain, IRNR, Wealth Tax, rental licences, the new platform registration number, tax residency and the Beckham Law—so you can buy, own and sell with confidence.

Marvellous! Daniel succeeded with my TIE card renewal!

Daniel and his excellent team assisted renew my TIE card (WAB/Article 50/Brexit). At a time when Police appointments (Cita Previa) were seemingly impossible to get, somehow Daniel succeeded. Throughout the process he kept me fully informed and was always on hand to quickly answer my many concerns. 100% recommended, no reservations at all. Thank you Daniel!
