Brand: Michael Malul

Frangipani Dubai is an oddly specific geographic qualifier for a tropical flower better known for growing across Southeast Asia and the Pacific than the Arabian Peninsula, one of several detailed material names in this fragrance's build. Joining that frangipani at the top are clove bud oil and fresh lemon, spiced and citrus-bright in combination. Deepening the heart considerably are gardenia petals and handpicked tuberose alongside sweet amber, a dense, classically floral middle stage despite the flowery naming conventions. Warm and smooth, the base closes on vanilla orchid, white cedar and musk crystals, grounding the floral density into something wearable. Floral is the fitting classification, elegant enough for both daytime and evening occasions. Prima Fleur Perfume suits dinners and daytime social events equally well, given how balanced the composition stays across its development. Spring bridges its clove-citrus opening and rich floral heart well, though it wears reasonably year-round given the structure. The clove bud oil at the top is the most distinctive material here, adding a warm spice most floral fragrances reserve for the base rather than the opening. Whatever the specific geographic and descriptive flourishes in the note names are meant to convey, the underlying composition is a solidly built, classically structured floral regardless of how each material gets labeled.
