With a place called lavender hall fishery I expected more than waterlogged dirty swims. dirty wipes and litter everywhere.the gate next to the train station is never locked so parking is a risk . They care more about the cold water swimming than the fishing. Never again
Seems station has fallen off now HS2 is being built next to it.
Well looked after fishery nice large pegs plenty of space
Hs2 work all day one side of the lake ..the other side day trains all day then freight trains all through the night ..no peace to fish
Nice clean fishery , cafe on site . Low stock numbers at the moment, not a runs water, but that makes any catch all the more special. Had a 20 out last week , all fish are in pristine condition.
Construction site all around so VERY loud and no heads up from the fishery when booking
OK. But too many swims
Lavender Hall Station Lake is a nice lake with some cracking fish but it's very weedy and relatively shallow at about 5ft across - which is fine but the swans, geese, ducks, and various other birds are just constantly on your bait (not the lakes fault I know). Overall I did enjoy the trip with my son catching a lovely carp however the portaloo was absolutely disgusting. The cafe was nice, the loo in the cafe was really clean, and the people working in the cafe\ shop were lovely. Hope this helps.

Lavinder hall station pool not always an easy pool to fish tho small in size witch makes the your capture that more rewardin. The fish are pristein and cared for very well and there being a number of named fish to try target. The work the fishery have completed and continue todo have made it a grate pool with plenty of featurs and spots to locate to present a bait. Keep up the hard work!!
I think the specimen carp lake is a little expensive for a 24 hour trip it’s approx £40 including the booking fees. Was very different to sleep due to train line right next to the lake. However facilities at the fishery are excellent with the cafe and tackle shop and extremely helpful staff.
Station has some amazing Carp, place that alongside a clean venue, great tackle shop and cafe, and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, is the reason this is the best fishery in the midlands
We had a Great weekend here, the fish we caught were in excellent condition, and put up a good fight. On site cafe was a great bonus for Breakfast, and the shop was very well stocked with everything you could need. All in all, a brilliant venue and we will be returning 😀
An excellent venue. Clean, tidy, well equipped. The staff are warm and welcoming. Tom and Scott are happy to offer advice if needed. I have fished Station Lake twice over the past few weeks and so far have caught two beautiful commons at just over 20lb each. The cafe is great too!

Honestly best fishery I’ve ever been to. Nice environment and helpful staff. Looking forward to fishing station again and seeing how the lake develops after the work Tom has put into it.
