I bought 2 tri tip , 1 turned out so good but another was bad cook the same time , same temperature. Super chewy .

This tri-tip turned out wonderfully. This is my first purchase of this cut of beef. So I did a little research and decided to cook it at 300° for an hour 10 minutes and it turned out perfectly. I added my own marinade which is balsamic vinaigrette, salt, pepper, rosemary, fresh garlic, and a little bit of sugar just so I could get a good crust And it was delicious with a few yellow sweet onions, cut thinly
