The lamb kidneys were so well packed and outrageously fresh you’d swear they’d just been politely asked to leave the lamb five minutes earlier. Absolute game-changer — they took the steak & kidney pudding from “pretty good” to “where have you been all my life?” Shipping was a bit steep, but let’s be honest — these days even disappointment comes with a delivery fee, so it is what it is.
Made steak and kidney pie that I haven't had in many years. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy the taste and texture of kidneys. I didn't answer the question about Value for the money for a simple reason... I don't know! I haven't been able to buy kidneys for over twenty years because they never seem to be available, locally or online. Growing up the butcher almost gave them to my grandmother for her kidney stew, and the last (and only time) I found some to buy they were nowhere near the price for two kidneys now. I paid over $70 for 12 kidneys, which seemed high to me but was worthwhile because I wanted them. Don't know how this price compares to whatever their "real" market value may be. Would buy again, though, because I like them and can't find them anywhere else!
