My Orange Mud vest didn't come with straps for carrying trekking poles, and it would have costed me $30 + shipping just for two sets of elastic straps from their website. Considering that this Inov8 vest doesn't cost much more than that, and it already comes with the pole straps built in, it was a no brainer decision for me to order this vest instead of the overpriced straps! I have taken it on a few trail runs as well as my first ever trail half marathon, and I'm liking it much better than my previous vest. I am a petite female who usually wears XS clothing, and this vest (with all the adjustment straps tightened accordingly) fits me perfectly without having to constantly readjust like I had to do with my Orange Mud vest. It also holds my two 600 mL soft flasks in place in the front two pockets. In addition to plentiful pockets it has, I find the chest bungee straps useful for carrying a small towel in easy reach. The only thing I found it lacking were straps to hold the long straws of my flasks in place, but I was easily able to add plastic zip ties for that purpose. Overall, this vest is a great bargain considering other brands cost the same or more but with fewer pockets/features!
