Great rain jacket. Is super lightweight and packs down to really small, but really effective at keeping you warm and dry.

Really nice jacket, fits well and comfortable. The fabric is a bit delicate though, managed to tear it on a hawthorn the first time I wore it!

We don't have an in-house repair service, but if you purchase some Stormsure waterproof repair tape, you should be able to repair the tear.

Great jacket, held up to storm conditions during an Ultra Marathon along the coast for hours. Even survived brushes with thorn bushes.

Awesome jacket. Stood up beautifully to New Zealand west coast rains (~30mm/hr for hours). Fantastic service too. Inov8 had the jacket on my doorstep (Australia) within 5 days from the time I placed the order. Outstanding!

Review written after 1 x 50 mile race up and through the Bannau Brycheiniogs: I had a v1 of this jacket a while ago, and whilst I’ve now tried others, I came back for v3 because it just works better. The push-clasp just below the neckline is simply the game changer. I buy one size up, so I can wear my race vest underneath in bad weather. The clasp means if I get hot I can undo the zip and everything stays where it should. Regulating heat with a few layers on AND a coat can be hard work - but this make life easy. The actual protection performance: Waterproofed well, probably needs a reproof now as it’s caked in mud, breathability is very subjective (but read above for how to get around that). Hight-end product at a low-end of market cost. Great. Last thing: personally have no idea what the v3 fit is all about - maybe because I buy large for a medium body - but feels like every other jacket tbh.

This jacket is very light and packable. The material is soft to touch, which is nice. Regrettably, the jacket did little to protect me on its first outing. Rainwater beaded for about 10 minutes. I was kept dry for a further hour or so. I was completely wet through (not just patches where one would sweat) within 1.5 - 2 hours. I was running/walking at a very comfortable pace (for me) and don't find myself excessively sweaty, so I was surprised to find myself soaked underneath the jacket. Difficult to say if the jacket let water through or whether moisture was trapped inside. The conditions were pretty fierce (exposed Dartmoor hillside in driving rain and mist) so I intend to take the jacket out in milder conditions to re-test, but so far I am a little disappointed for the price paid.

Went for a run in it yesterday just for a try out it was dry so couldn’t give it a full test but it performed well very comfortable and released perspiration well with the zip open and the top popper closed. It was about 12’c wouldn’t normally run in a jacket in that temp but it worked well, looking forward to colder and wetter days.

Very lightweight and comfortable to wear, But not waterproof! After only a couple of miles in the rain I could feel my tee shirt getting wet.

Material is very nice, lightweight and soft to the touch, not a huge amount of rustle either. Waterproofing was a bit iffy, I’ve had 2/3 runs in it now and the material wetted out more easily than I expected. There were patches on the front of the jacket which didnt seem to bead water well at all. Another small thing the jacket came folded quite tightly, this appears to have left a (semi?) permanent crease in the front of the jacket. Only cosmetic but a little bit annoying.

Just like other brands, our DWR's are PFC free, which can cause the beading to stop a bit sooner, so it will need reproofing more regularly to maintain the DWR. The Pertex membrane should still be keeping you dry though.
