Phoned to enquire about moving my broadband to be managed by KCOM. Spoke to Sam, can't fault him. Very knowledgeable and polite. Took out a 2 year discounted contract and got 900 m/s. For less than my current 400 and getting the latest router.

KCOM business is a vastly superior product than the domestic packages. I have a technical issue today - in that I have a neighbour I wish to share my Internet with - and they have organised for an engineer to come out within 1 WEEK! They'll advise on options.

I am deeply dissatisfied with KCOM's internet services due to their unfair pricing policies and monopoly in my area. As an existing customer, it's frustrating to see that KCOM offers discounted prices to new customers while charging their loyal, long-standing customers significantly higher rates. Despite my loyalty to KCOM, there is no feasible way for me to access these lower pricing offers, which are prominently advertised on their website.
I reached out to their customer service for a solution, only to be informed that my only option would be to cancel my service and rejoin after 30 days to avail of the new customer discounts. This suggestion is impractical and unhelpful, especially considering that I rely on the internet for business purposes. A 30-day gap without internet service is simply not an option for me.
The fact that KCOM holds a monopoly in my area exacerbates the issue, leaving me with no alternative providers to turn to. This situation forces me to accept their pricing structure, which feels exploitative and unfair. It's disappointing to experience such disregard for customer loyalty and fairness in pricing from a company that enjoys the privilege of being the sole internet service provider in the region.
UPDATE
Following my review, I had a conversation with Sara from KCOM. While the company's response suggests that my contract terms have been changed to save me money, I must clarify that following the call from Sara the actual contract terms remain unchanged. This discrepancy between the public response and the actual outcome is concerning. I believe it's crucial for customers to receive transparent and accurate communications. Therefore, I urge KCOM to ensure that any public statements accurately reflect the reality of the situation and the resolutions offered.
I am still facing a £240 difference over the contract term compared to new customers.
