This pack includes: T30 Torx Screwdriver 8mm Masonry Drill Bit 4mm Masonry Drill Bit (for pilot holes) XL Security Screws and Wall Plugs are fixings designed for installing ark Tamo on rendered walls and ark Tamo Pro key safe on any substrate (except from single - skin walls) to LPS 1175 attack test standards.

Cheep and nasty drill bits , the one burnt out drilling the pilot hole, second blunted after two hole had to use another drill.

I have many drill bits for many applications but I bought these so that I had brand new bits of the correct length and diameter. I wanted the drill holes and the rawlplugs to go into the brickwork without any problems. They did though I would recommend using the bigger drill bit to run in and out of the hole a few times to take out brick dust or the screws need to be screwed in with greater force than is possible with the screwdriver. The job went well into a two brick thick wall and I would recommend buying the kit.

Where as I am 100% impressed with the degree of security achieved by using the XL screws and plugs, I was not impressed at all that the 5mm bit provided for establishing a pilot hole failed - thank goodness that B&Q could provide one capable of penetrating standard house bricks to the designated depth.

Bought the “Fitting Pack for XL Security Screws & Wall Plugs” to install the “ark Tamo™ Pro Maximum Security Key Safe”. Drill bits are ideal for the task. Screwdriver simply not large enough to drive home the screws. Fortunately, I had access to a ¼” drive T30 bit. This did the job very efficiently. Official installation video shows this as an approved method of fitting - such a bit would make a good addition to this kit.

Thankfully you had the relevant drive bit which did the job for you, as you say, this is the method on our installation video.
I will add the suggestion of adding the drive bit to the fitting kit to our next customer experience workshop.

Excellent product, backed up by superb customer service from The Key Safe Company (TKSC). Although I purchased my original Key Safe from Amazon, TKSC dealt with my technical (the code buttons were too small for my fingersP) and installation queries with great knowledge and willing support. They recommended a later model of the safe and Amazon delivered it next day. TKSC supplied an alternative installation kit and that also arrived next day. I have now installed the safe and am delighted with it. I'm a very happy customer.
