LawnStarter put me in contact with Tim’s Discount Mowing a couple of seasons ago when my previous lawn care company stopped its service. I’ve been more than happy with the service I’ve received. LawnStarter has been in constant communication when issues of timing arise, which are uncommon, and that is a great comfort. All-in-all, LawnStarter’s vetting and overall service has been a great thing. Tim’s Mowing, I can’t say enough good about.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This was an absolute mess.
When I scheduled my lawn treatment, I was specifically told someone would come out to the property. Instead, I received no call, no app notification, and no email. Someone showed up before 9 a.m. on the first day of the treatment window and treated the lawn without any notice. I only realized it had been done when I saw a small treatment tag in the front yard.
This was especially frustrating because I needed advance notice to unlock the gate for access to the backyard. I was also told they use satellite imagery to assess the property, despite my home being a new build and the available imagery still showing the property under construction with no lawn.
It became clear that LawnStarter outsources the actual work, which wouldn't necessarily be a problem if they had any control over scheduling and communication. Unfortunately, what I was told by customer service did not match what actually happened.
Based on this experience, I don't trust the company and would not use them again. There are plenty of local lawn services that can provide better communication and a more straightforward customer experience.
