I threw out (actually donated) my old plates. I was hoping to find replacements that checked all the boxes. It's these. These plates are it. The lids are a huge help because they mean fewer dishes and easy leftover meals. The suction cups make these the only suction plates that ACTUALLY stick to my high chair mat out at least five other products we have tried to stick to it. Sure, she can eventually tug them off but it takes her considerable effort to. I most likely will be buying more.

The vacuum really works! The lids are useful but just if you put the plate in the fridge, not if you need to bring food with you on the road because they don’t seal up very tightly.

While the suction itself is strong if the bowl is lifted upwards, that’s not really how babies this age interact with them. My baby pulls the bowl towards herself rather than lifting it, which means the suction pads simply slide across the highchair surface. In practice, this makes them far less effective than expected, because she can still move the bowl easily. We’ve ended up having to place it well out of her reach, which defeats the purpose of encouraging self-feeding.

For the best suction performance, we recommend using the bowl on a clean, dry, smooth, and flat surface. Before use, please press down firmly on the center and around the base of the bowl to help remove any trapped air and create a stronger seal.
