After 8 years of being their loyal customer, In October 2025, their partner bank, with whom they collaborate for money tranfers, made mistakes and conducted unfair and unlawful assessments, resulting in my MONEY BEING SEIZED, despite the fact that I have sent all legal, real, and correct documents to OFX.com.But they did not protect me and my funds Since then, they have started to harass me with various excuses to alienate me: They either did not answer my requests, emails,complaints, and questions, or they answered very late, brushing the issue aside and trying to get rid of me by using the mask of internal processes without giving details, employing a policy of alienation and distancing you, and THEY BLOCKED my account with a ridiculous, improper reasons that they concealed, to avoid responsibility. With this unfair, unlawful, and unjust practice, they have actually undermined the service methods, working methods, and criteria of THEIR institution.There is so much risk and danger THEIR policies pose to THEIR customers with the following example:
I have checked my ofx.com account again WITH all my previous transfers/payments AT their platform from 2018 until 2026 , I FOUND THAT MY ACCOUNT DID MEET Their SO CALLED WEIRDLY UNREVEALED UNDISCLOSED INTERNAL RISK REQUIREMENTS FOR 8 YEARS UNTIL 2025 OCTOBER. BUT WHEN THEIR INTERMEDIATE BANK BLOCK AND SEIZED MY MONEY ILLEGITIMATELY BASELESSLY, INACCURATELY, THEN, ALL OF A SUDDEN MY OFX.COM ACCOUNT FOR THEM STARTED NOT TO MEET THEIR RISK EQUIREMENTS AFTER 8 YEARS LONG OF MEETING THEIR RISK REQUIREMENTS. My wife and I recently used OFX to transfer a large amount of USD. Moving that kind of money is incredibly nerve-wracking to say the least!
The bank rate to transfer was terrible in comparison to OFX but we were very very nervous about using a third party.
Thankfully, we had Richard looking after us. He made the whole process entirely stress-free. He was incredibly patient, kept us in the loop every step of the way, and made sure everything went perfectly smoothly. When you're dealing with retirement savings, having someone on the other end who actually communicates and knows what they are doing makes all the difference.
Highly recommend OFX, and a massive thank you to Richard for his outstanding help!

This is a poorly thought out app. First, my credit union told me to use it however NOT ONE person there had actually made a transfer. I tried to get it set up. Was insanely hard, and then when i tried to link in my account, the credit union was not even listed! No one at OFX or the credit union could figure it out. That was one year ago.
NOW, i wanted to wire money again, Canada to USA. Went to Credit Union. THEIR tech person wa able to set it up. BUT, now they emailed at 1:40AM wanting more info. Called them at 04:00 and spoke with them. Thought it was done. NOW I get an email saying they need an INVOICE! Dont have one, not needed by me. Compliance insists they said. So waiting for a call to tellme EXACTLY why because if i want to tranfer money to a friend, i should be allowed to do it. NOT GOING TO USE THIS APP EVER AGAIN. WILL GO TO THE CREDIT UNION AND LIKELY MOVE OUT MY MONEY TO AN INSTITUTION THAT FUNCTIONS BETTER.

It got even worse. I supplied an invoice. Then you wanted a tenancy agreement. Then. Beyond that you insisted on a pdf of my bank statement! That is full over reach by ofx. Not required! Never going to give that to you!
I spoke with a compliance manager. She insisted they had the right to adk. I agree. I have the right to refuse. Ofx had my money, but they refunded quickly. I have closed the account and removed this app. I have sent a full overview to the credit union. I recommend they discontinue with ofx.
This level of interpretation of compliance in the name of anti money laundering and fraud protection is a blatant invasion of privacy. Disgusting!

I was having no issues with them until they just locked my account after trying to make a couple of card payments that weren't strange or dodgy.
Zero communication from them or their partner bank.
Absolutely terrible way to treat customers.
