The 3-in-1 Multi-Tool Light-Up Keychain is excellent. 5 stars for the item itself. We loved the sample we received and ordered 500 based on that sample. Unfortunately, our experience with National Pen Co., a.k.a. Pens.com, this time around has been a total nightmare. 1 star for the nightmare -- Zero stars, if that were an option. We have used Pens.com for the past several years with excellent results. This year, we received a beautifully imprinted sample of an item that was exactly what we were looking for for our Christmas holiday giveaway item -- the Multi-Tool Light-Up Keychain. Based on that beautiful sample, we ordered 500 of them with the specific and emphatic request that they be exactly like the sample, confirmed by the "approval art" that we approved. What we received was 500 items with poor quality imprint that was washed-out in color and appearance, and many had imprint defects around the edges. We contacted Customer Care because what we received was not usable, would do nothing positive for the presentation of our brand -- which is the whole point -- and asked for a re-do based on the Pens.com "Perfect Print Promise." We were even MORE clear and emphatic that we wanted the finished item to be exactly like the excellent sample we had received, confirmed by the "approval art" that we once again approved. What we received were 500 more that were WORSE than the first batch, and even more unusable because someone in the production department took it upon themselves to change our logo enough to be outside the strict brand guidelines of our parent company that do not allow any changes to the logo art. Customer Care were nice people, gracious corporate apologists, some of whom seemed not fully English proficient, who apparently were either completely not competent except to copy/paste an apology script and place a reorder, or lacked any empowerment to actually provide any help in getting a better quality result on the reorder. Beware that "Perfect Print Promise" does not mean anything if there is no mechanism or infrastructure or empowerment of the Customer Care staff to make it happen. Sending us a beautifully imprinted sample -- which we really liked -- but then not being able to reproduce the same quality of that sample in quantity in the finished goods is FALSE advertising. Very disappointing!

The item is as described and fit the bill for what we needed. I wish our logo could have been a bit larger, but other than that all was fine.

People enjoyed this product. They like the light, and almost everyone thinks the tape measure is useful. The reason for my 3 stars is the white imprint was not as pronounced as the first sample I received. It's still legible, but it's noticeably lighter than the sample. And, if it rubs on things (pens, etc.) in your purse, the white rubs off.

The product as a whole is fine, but the sample I received and the product I ordered was like night and day in regards to the impression...they sent me a perfectly printed sample, what I received was no where near the quality that I was expecting...the color depth was about 1/2, you could see the product color coming through the ink...and the logo was approximately 20 - 30% smaller...they didn't offer a return and reprint, I am embarrassed to pass these to my customers...the representative told me that they couldn't guarantee it would look better...what a load of garbage, they could of resized the logo to the size of the sample...the blue one is the one they sent me but the red one is the batch of 250 I received...super dissappointed.
