SCAM website with fake reviews!

Found this website through Google. Checked Trustpilot ratings, saw it had 4 stars. Bought a domain with crypto. And after paying, they logged me out. Had to reset my password. Looked suspicious. Then I check ICANN. There's no record of the domain I purchased in there.
ICANN says " The requested domain was not found in the Registry or Registrar's RDAP server. "

Tried to change nameservers. Nothing works.
All it says is "An issue was encountered while retrieving the domain nameservers. Please contact support. "

A total scam!
They'll just get your money and then log you out.

This is another fake review. Trustpilot monetizes these types of reviews by forcing a premium subscription account in order to remove fake reviews.

We'd rather not spend money on extortion, nor would we want to pass any such costs on to our ACTUAL, LEGITIMATE users.

Sincerely,
Rad Web Hosting

Rad Web Hosting - NOT rad at all

In July of 2024 I signed up for web hosting after several chats with these guys, who assured me that migration of my existing websites was no big deal.
In September of 2024 it was determined that they had completely lost one of my websites, only partially migrated one other one, and did properly migrate the remaining three websites.
I also transferred two of my three domains to them.
In November of 2024 I made the decision to move to a new host due to repeated issues with downtime, back end issues, website issues, and general hosting problems.
I began the process of moving my domains to a new registrar, and my websites to a new host, however, Rad Web Hosting starting making moves to block transfers and cause issues.
I was able to get all of my websites transferred, but only one of my two domains transferred.
As of 09DEC24, Rad Web Hosting has been holding my domain (iamdigitaldaniel.com) 'hostage'.
They won't say why, they won't release it, they won't provide any services or allow me to manage it (even when my billing was up to date!), and they won't respond to numerous regulatory complaints.

Thank you for confirming your identity. We will be happy to discuss the events and steps you took that have you so upset.

How it started? You contacted us requiring emergency migration out of your current host, who you claimed had locked your account and was no longer responding to your support requests.

We do provide complimentary migration service for our clients who need to move their websites from a previous hosting provider. In order to provide this service, there is a form to be filled to give our support team access to your hosting account/server.

Despite having not provided any of the information we require for migrations (such as cPanel logins or SSH/FTP credentials), we managed to migrate all accounts using only a web-based GUI to manually download archives (a multi-hour process-due to the limitations of the web-based interface).

Upon completion, we reminded the client once again to update their Nameservers/DNS records at their domain registrar with the values we provided, and that the sites would not resolve to the new server until this step was taken.

This proved an impossible concept for the client, who rather than make the necessary changes on their end, would repeatedly initiate chat sessions and open support tickets to tell our support techs that we'd broken their sites or threaten a number of different legal actions.

Each time the user was given as detailed of instructions as possible of how to make the required changes to his DNS or nameservers that would solve his issues. And each time, these instructions were ignored entirely and were met with hostility/arguments to the extent that "the sites were working before the migration, therefore, we had broken the sites".

Eventually, after several days of needless frustration, the user managed to make the required DNS/Nameserver updates.

Later, the user disputed payments with their financial institution, falsely claiming they did not authorize the payments. This violates the Terms of Service, and the account was locked to prevent further access until they bring their account back into good financial standing.

While we always look to provide above-and-beyond support to our clients, we zero-tolerance for fraudulent chargebacks, abusive behavior towards staff members, or making false and slanderous claims.

Sorry to whichever provider has to deal with this special individual after us! 😬

Absolute Scam

TLDR: They were quick to respond when they were taking a payment but incredibly slow after I paid. They caused a 7 day delay while I was trying to reach them through multiple tickets and live chat. When they finally decided to refund me, they sent the refund to my ACCOUNT CREDITS and not the original currency I paid with. They also lowered the refund amount due to the delay THEY caused.

I purchased a server about 3 days ago for $307. I spoke with the CEO Scott over live chat and he was very responsive and kind, explaining how their server is fit for me etc. and promised me a refund in case things don't work out for whatever reason. After I had purchased the server, I started using it only to realize that IPv6 isn't properly configured and I was unable to ping or make HTTP requests over IPv6 with it. I told this to Scott over live chat and it became obvious he wasn't equipped to resolve my issue. We spoke until he had to end his shift and I ended up having to attempt to fix the issue myself by messing with the network configuration on the server which I hadn't signed up for. I managed to ping over IPv6 but I still can't make HTTP requests which is a huge deal breaker for me. It was clearly outlined in my requirements for the server to them before I paid that I want to make HTTP requests over IPv6 and that was the only reason I got the server so I'm currently unable to use it for anything.
It has been 2 days and I haven't gotten a single response from Rad Web Hosting through their live chat since Scott ended his shift the day they sold the server to me. The only time I got a response through live chat was today when I reached out to them through live chat by using a different IP and identifying myself as someone else in their live chat Email and Name prompts. I know they're available. It's also not the weekend so they have no reason to be ignoring a customer who paid $307. Yesterday, I got a response on a ticket from Ron at Rad Web Hosting but the first response, to put it simply, was "the server is working". When I said it's not, Ron asked me for output of the `ip addr` command on the server. I sent him the output of the command and told him that he can access the server and fix it since I was going to sleep but I haven't gotten any replies to my ticket since then, despite bumping it multiple times and voicing my annoyance. I need a server deployed and doing work as soon as possible and I don't have the time to wait for days for them to resolve a simple networking issue with their server they should be equipped to fix.
I see that you guys respond to reviews on TrustPilot so I would like to say here, I am willing to fix my rating if you either refund me or resolve the issues with my server.

Edit 1: They're ignoring my request for a refund (they have a 30 day money back guarantee I'm eligible for)
Edit 2: After they delayed my refund for about a week, they finally refunded me but to ACCOUNT BALANCE? This was not the deal. And they also reduced the refund amount due to the delay THEY CAUSED.

Edit 3, In reply to their reply:
I did not read the refund policy because I was in chat with you, Scott, and you did NOT tell me about the part of the refund policy that states that the refund would go to account credits. I'm sure you can figure out a way to convert dollars to crypto, the same way you're converting crypto to dollars, for my refund.
Also, notice how you never mentioned the fact that you ignored me for days and left me with a broken server, there is no excuse for that. And the "employee"/"team member" you're talking about is You, Scott. You don't have any employees, I'm assuming "Ron" is you, too. Are you ashamed of that so you refer to yourself in third person? Your "company" is a scam, you don't have any high quality services and you provide the bare minimum to satisfy people with very low requirements. So, for anyone reading this; if you require the bare minimum and just need a $5 server, by all means go with them. But if you need a server capable of doing serious work, do not under any circumstance give them a chance.

We regret to hear your experience did not live up to your expectations.

In regards to this specific case, the user was assisted in pre-sale process by a member of our team via the live chat on the website and the user received a custom quote for their project.

During the process, the user was given full details regarding the Refund Policy by the team member who also sent a link to the Refund Policy terms and conditions which the user clicked and visited.

Additionally, during the account creation and checkout, the user logged their acceptance of the Terms and Conditions as well as the Refund Policy.

The user paid with digital currency (crypto), which is an accepted payment source by Rad Web Hosting.

The Refund Policy clearly outlines the procedure for processing refunds on payments which originated from Cryptocurrency.

While this has been a company policy for many years, here is the reasoning behind the policy:

Rad Web Hosting accepts over 40 different digital currencies as a courtesy to our clients who are spread across 50+ countries globally. These currencies fluctuate from day-to-day in terms of their value in USD (our native accounting currency). Additionally, Rad Web Hosting automatically triggers a conversion upon receiving cryptocurrency payments to USD. This allows us to provide additional payment options, without having to maintain an active balance of all 40+ currencies for (at least) the trailing 30 days of business (to match the available refund period).

This policy is clearly stated on our website and our online order procedures require users to read and accept these terms before they can process their order.

None of the above information was obfuscated or misinterpreted to the user.

The client demanded and threatened multiple employees regarding this procedure, which eventually led management to shut down the communication channels.
