Super friendly staff and helpful in booking my appointment. My appointment was on time and organised. Once I advised on an issue in my family history, it was acted on and a referral was done straight away. Super service

Supportive, informative amd kind

I have to say I am disappointed in the hearing aids , which I paid a lot of money for. Going back in time, I have always had problems with the left ear tip staying in the ear. Then,when I had a re-check I had to have the the aids boosted and was given new Widex ear-tips which were bigger and have also continually come out of my ears. My last visit was to have new moulded ear fittings for my ears and when they came, Bill could not fit the inserts into them and said that they would have to be sent back. I still have no date for this or appointment arranged. On top of this, my existing right hearing isn't charging and Bill stated that it was still under guarantee and would have to be sent back . No appointment was suggested or made for this. In the past I have made comment to Ryan, I think, that I can't bend the hearing aid tubing to be more discrete and I have not been able to resolve this.
Having said all this, I have found Bill and Ryan and the lady who did the ear syringing punctual, very courteous but not always proactive in helping to set up future appointments as necessary. Also the staff on the front desk are always very pleasant and helpful.

They only have on hearing specialist over 5 shops so I have to wait 2 weeks to get and appointment with him with only one hearing aid working helpful offering other areas to get an appointment but to far away from me to travel

Suffering from severe earache, I was able to book an appointment at extreme short notice for wax removal. The lady who helped me was lovely to my daughter and I, and my daughter said she actually found it very interesting! Thanks so much. NW, Stockbridge, 11/07/2026

I recently visited Rawlings Opticians in Banstead and was thoroughly impressed by the level of care and professionalism throughout my appointment. Their eye test service for contact lenses was incredibly thorough, and everything was explained clearly, making the whole process feel easy and reassuring.

The friendly optician put me at my ease. She was very thorough checking my eye and referred me to the hospital. Within just 2 days I had an appointment with them.

We have been customers at Rawlings Winchester for over a decade . Both my wife and I are on their monthly plan which gives us significant discounts on frames and lenses (and image insurance) and includes a thorough annual eye test. But it's not really the savings that keep us coming back, or the wide range of glasses that they offer; rather, it's the excellent personalised service that they consistently deliver, and the patience and professionalism of the team that makes Rawlings our only choice for eye tests and glasses.

Rawlings Opticians and Hearing Care Croydon were very helpful when my sunglasses needed a new piece that had got lost from one of the side arms. They ordered in two new pieces and stuck them on with glue to ensure the same thing didn't happen again. I am very pleased with the result.

When I needed it, Rawlings gave me immediate appointments, careful, professional attention, analysed the problem, sent me first to my GP, then to the specialists for remedial work on my cataracts. Excellent support.

Had a full eye examination, and a Macular hole was discovered. Rawlings referred me to Moorfields (at St. Georges). Moorfields acted quickly and I had the necessary surgery. Thank you Rawlings, Peter A.

Recently attended a hearing test, chose Rawlings as they had been excellent for my eye test and glasses earlier in the year. Thorough ear test and free. Service was very quick and staff very obliging. Audiologist (Ryan) excellent.

It was very good except that the poor optometrist had just been off with an injury for 3 weeks and was denied entry to their computer for doing a field of vision test, she thought because the password had been updated. She could not find anyone to tell her the correct password so, having struggled in through one heatwave I have a return visit probably in another!

The staff at Alresford are always really friendly and helpful. My optician Meti (Mohammed) was really lovely and explained the results of the scan, and what it showed on the screen. He was a breath of fresh air. I didn’t need different lenses so I was not helped by Phil this time, but he is also really friendly and always remembers me each year!
