Haven’t been shot in my side yet so I can’t give it 5 stars yet. Pros: extremely light weight and form fitting. Well made. Cons: wish they were black. I don’t like waring target colors. This is specific to my vest side pockets though. You can see red from the front and rear a little bit. Other then that. Price was nice. And I’m happy.

Easy to insert panels into the pouches but pouches are a little tricky to re-inset back into the vest. In addition, there were no instruction on how to remove the Velcro straps from inside of the tactical vest. Remove to insert the side armor. Overall a great product.

Found these side panels on sale! They fit the entire breadth of the pocket on my rig which provides me greater peace of mind when I'm on patrol around campus. They're also significantly lighter than the level III metal plates I used to carry.
