About Scalapay

Written by the company

Scalapay is an innovative payment service allowing consumers to pay for their purchases in 3 instalments, without interests: the first at the time of ordering, the second after one month and the third after two months.

Scalapay is available on more than 3,000 brand partner websites and in more than 4,000 physical shops. Its partners include names such as Kiko, Twinset, Douglas, Shein, Alpitour and Stroili, as well as fashion, beauty, home and travel companies in 9 countries (Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Finland).

How does it work?

Online, the customer can select the payment option at the time of purchase, register and proceed to enter their credit, debit or prepaid card details. The balance will automatically be divided into three instalments, the first immediately, the second and third one month apart. Choosing to pay through Scalapay has no cost, in terms of interest or commission, for the end customer.

In-store, the customer registers on the Scalapay website, selects the retailer where they want to buy and how much they want to spend. The Scalapay system generates a barcode which, when presented at the checkout, will be scanned to complete the transaction.

A great way to spare expenses

A great way to spare across 3 or 6 months the costs of my hobbies, or take medium-big utility spendings for home easier.

One time per year or every two years shop a big basket of clothing exploiting the biggest seasonal offerings, black Friday’s and things like that.

The user experience is clear and enoghly good.

As far as I know the company is Italian one, so I prefer shared my digital agency and data under European tech companies.

no customer service. Luna chat bot of them is fake

If something goes wring there is no customer service center to help you out. there is a fake chat icon on their app but it is just fake and when you click on it, there are only bunch of a&q. there is thing thing called lunca which they claim it will be activated only through web which is not true. I tried to send them emails but no response. worst experience ever.

Payment limits decresed after inactivity

I bought several items through Scalapay, paying several thousand euros. I find it unfair and quite ridiculous that after a period of inactivity, the spending limit granted to me was drastically reduced. I have sufficient funds for small purchases, so because of your decision, Scalapay has become completely useless to me.

Hello, we are truly sorry that the change to your purchasing power may have caused you some difficulties.
The purchasing power is an estimate of the amount you can spend with Scalapay.
It is calculated automatically and in real time, taking into account various factors such as the store where you are shopping, the payment method, and the order amount.
