5 Stars — Raspberry Pi 512GB SSD Kit Bought the Raspberry Pi SSD Kit (512GB) and couldn't be happier. Good quality drive, priced right given where SSD costs are sitting right now, and it works exactly as advertised. Shipping was fast and the one time I had a question, customer service picked it right up. SparkFun has been a Colorado staple for a reason.. they know their stuff and they stand behind it. If you're on the fence about this kit, don't be. Just buy it.

Product details
Brand: Raspberry Pi (Trading) Ltd
A kit for using the Raspberry Pi 512GB NVMe SSD with the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+. This provides a simple way to add large storage options to the Raspberry Pi 5 or boot the OS from an SSD. You'll need to purchase a Raspberry Pi 5 separately. One of the most exciting aspects of the PCI-E compatibility of the Raspberry Pi 5 is the ability to use M.2 NVMe SSDs instead of a microSD card. Raspberry Pi has provided us with an approved SSD for use with the Raspberry Pi 5. This 512GB NVMe SSD comes to us from Raspberry Pi. It features 50K IOPS (4KB random read) and 90k IOPS (4KB random write) when using a 1-lane PCI-e 2.0 Bus like the one found on the Raspberry Pi 5. This SSD comes blank and requires an external enclosure or interface to image an OS if you plan on booting off of it.

works absolutely wonderfully for my use case, ive been using my pi as a server and using this to ensure i dont have to deal with an SD card death. this has worked far better not only in terms of stability but also speed and storage size (in terms of my usecase)
