I would not recommend this weather station. I was looking forward to getting this weather station set up and working with it. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get the board working. I have spent a lot of time reading the documentation and I have not been able to get any useful data. The MM_Weather_CB_Test script does not run on the board I receive Pin errors.

Product details
Building a weather station can be rewarding whether you're an agriculturalist, professional meteorologist, or weather hobbyist. Create your own weather station effortlessly with SparkFun's Arduino IoT Weather Station, and monitor it seamlessly through Arduino Cloud, an all-in-one IoT platform that brings your creations to life in a snap. SparkFun created this Arduino library specifically for use with our MicroMod Weather Carrier Board (w/o UV Sensor) and MicroMod ESP32 Processor, enabling users to easily record wind speed, wind direction, and rainfall data from our weather meter kit with reliable wireless connectivity. The MicroMod Weather Carrier Board is a peripheral for the MicroMod ecosystem that lets you build your own weather station using one of a multitude of processors. The carrier board in this kit includes two sensors: the BME280 temperature, pressure, and humidity sensor and the AS3935 Lightning detector. Sensors Included Rain Gauge: A self-emptying bucket mechanism activates a momentary button closure for every 0.011" (0.2794 mm) of rain collected. Anemometer: Measures wind speed by closing a switch once per rotation. A wind speed of 1.492 MPH generates exactly one switch closure per second. Wind Vane: Reports wind direction as a variable voltage produced by a combination of internal resistors. While it can technically indicate up to 16 positions, it reliably resolves eight cardinal directions (N, NE, E, etc.). Along with these on-board sensors, there is a 3-pin latch terminal & cables to add an external soil moisture sensor (also included) and a pair of RJ11 jacks to plug in the wind and rain sensors to connect the included Weather Meter Kit. To top it all off, there is a microSD card slot so you can plug in an SD card to log all that glorious weather data using the MicroMod processor of your choosing!

Good product
Out of date and incorrect documentation for weather station. Not only is it NOT a simple task to get it working with Arduino IoT Cloud, but the template there is useless. Also, the wind direction hardware is awful. Conversion of output to degrees is impossible even after lengthy calibrations. The wind direction hardware is useless and junk. I must have had rose colored glasses on when I bought the SparkFun IoT weather station, but I've learned an expensive lesson and will not buy from them again.
